PurpleCanary 5,558 Posted November 16, 2011 All the club is saying is that the dispute has been resolved, but it doesn''t say how. It was claiming the story was "inaccurate" and Look East was saying it stood by it. There is nothing in the club statement about Look East having given any ground at all, let alone anything like an apology, or the name of the source for the story, which according to some posters here was actually what the club was after. jarroldstander 0 Posted November 16, 2011 So if the rumours are to be believed NCFC wanted to know who snitched to BBC Look East and they said we’re not saying which is what any self respecting journalist would do. McNally puts his foot down and tries to kick BBC Look East around in the same he does to local newspaper reporters, not releasing that dear old Auntie Beeb has a much bigger harder older brother lurking in the background who is very very well connectedThe older bigger harder brother of Auntie Beeb has a quiet word with McNally saying he is playing with the really big boys now and he would do well to remember this. We don’t want to upset your sponsors, TV coverage and all the good publicity you get he whispers in the direction of Carrow Road.Cue a climb down by both parties. Which is how the club statement - given what it DOESN''T say - reads.
Syteanric 1 Posted November 17, 2011 does anyone think the club gave look east the original story with the "you dont run it till the signing happens.." in place.BBC ran it, it didnt happen, someone high up (and we can speculate) at the club felt a prat and this lingered on until the club swallowed its pride and learnty a valuable lesson?i have no evidence for this or indeed think its what happened. just an opinion.
