Positives...Johnson - looks the part, tenacious and with a good passSurman - probably his best 60 minutes in a City shirtBennett''s crossing is fantasticRudd grew into the game and saved the penalty with a really good stopWe kept going for 96 minutesNegatives...We huff and puff but don''t ever look like blowing the house down. Our long range shooting is awfulDe Laet again caused a goal through a defensive errorWe won''t stay up if we can''t beat sides like West Brom at home

Positives:*Tierney played well.Negatives:*Chris Martin seems terrified of taking any chance that magically comes his way.  Jackson or Vaughan must start ahead of him*Norwich are an unfashionable club and it seems the Premier League has instructed the referees to assist our relegation this season.*Cannot see us winning a game this season.  Too many mistakes at the back and no killer instinct at the front.

Positive again looked the better team

Negative = Surman didnt have the best game at all, I found him very frustrating, did the basics right but didnt get in right positions in the box and never looked confident infront of the goal.

the one big negative has got to be the schoolboy error to give the goal away, that''s 3 now this season.

Can''t get away with that at any level let alone the prem and continue like that and relegation will follow

Positive

No bigger club is likely to be banging on the door tapping up Lambert.

Negative

It''s beginning to look as though we have a set of players who, largely through spirit and effort, have got us to the Premiership but who don''t have the quality needed to bridge the huge chasm between the top two leagues. Effort and spirit isn''t enough in this league.

Positives:

Whole team ethos & fighting until the end is good.

Johnson looked good today with his attitude & passing as did Tierney & Bennett with his crossing.

Spells of good football & plenty of chances.

Some good challenges & tackles.

Still have lots of confidence going forward.

Negatives:

Would like to see Vaughan or Morison start ahead of Martin (every respect for the winner v Leeds) but looks slow & limited at this level & never looked like scoring in a month of Sundays.

Obviously need to tighten up defence & we seem very naive in giving away all these penalties. At this level it would now seem part of the game now to cheat & pull the wool over the refs eyes to gain that advantage.Needs looking at.

Seem to be lacking a killer instinct when finishing.

Not winning a game this season is a bit drastic, we were only a few seconds off beating Stoke with 10 men.

Positives

- we controlled the game for long periods

- Rudd is good enough to be 2nd choice

- Tierney looked good going forward

Negatives

- another sloppy error gave away the goal.

- 4-4-2 seemed ineffective without Pilkington.

- Naughton and Bennett didn''t seem to work well together.

- Our defence seems unable to cope with anyone running at it.

- for all the good crosses that were put in we never looked like scoring.

- Crofts needs to offer more than good defensive play if we''re going to play him with Johnson.

- the ref, again.

Positives we looked like a organised team who work hard.

We defended well aside from the traditional massive de lait mistake.

Our crossing looked good ...... just nothing on the end of it.

Negatives:

We look predictable and toothless we are not faster, stronger, taller or more skillful in the box than the opposition.

What is our edge? How are we going to beat teams in this division?

For me its sad to admit but WBrom did a job on us today. It was a routine win get the early goal relax absorb the pressure and then have a gear or two in reserve. They are average with a good striker but good enough to do the job on us. Lets remember sides like west brom dont expect to win the league they aim to beat sides like us, they come with a plan and show respect.

Some may think we had the lions share of possession etc etc but we looked unlikely to score which is worrying as i cannot see a Dean Ashton type signing this year to get the goals.

"For me its sad to admit but WBrom did a job on us today."

absolutely spot-on. that was the exact term i was grasping for in another thread. this division is full of sides who`ll set themselves up to do that as the away side, bolton and stoke are two more who spring to mind immediately.

Can''t believe anyone thinks Martin was a negative.... Was a central part of all our first half attacking movements.

Positives:

Again we played better than our opponents for large spells on the game.

Crofts and Johnson look like a pretty good pairing in midfield, Johnson looks like a pretty good player.

Rudd is a decent enough GK, needs some experience though.

Martin is a good player, despite not seeming to want to shoot was playing well enough to give other people opportunities.

Hoolahan. Plays just as well as he did in League One.

Negatives.

De Laet- 3rd goal he''s given away, and he''s supposedly our best player.

We can''t finish our chances, Crofts had at least 4 shots didn''t he?

One of our best players is taking up a strikers slot, when he doesn''t seem to want to shoot, making scoring goals harder.

Hoolahan didn''t start.

Surman doesn''t seem to have any confidence.

Bennett doesn''t get any balls played in front for him to run onto.
