Gingerpele 0 Posted September 19, 2011 I''m thinking about going....Haven''t been to an away game in ages, didn''t really fancy going to Old Trafford again, cost of Liverlose tickets and travel etc too much for me, so Villa it is...

ryan1992 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Really want to go, but I went to Bolton last week, and I have an MOT next week, So I don''t think I will be able to afford it, I don''t get paid for another 3 weeks! :( Unless somebody is feeling in a very charitable mood!! Shack Attack 0 Posted September 20, 2011
Why? If your getting upset at the use of Liverlose, i think its you who needs to grow up. I know you got very upset at Nexus for using it. There is nothing wrong with it, in fact a friend of mine who is a Liverpool supporter has called them that (in fact i think it was him who i got the name from) and i can assure you he is not a child or teenager. If you think you can come on here, and start telling people what to do, you really need to take a look at yourself....
How does ''Liverlose'' work? It''s not a pun as far as I can see so it just seems like you have replaced the final syllable of their name with the word lose. You might as well refer to Arselose, Blackburn Rovlose, West Bromwich Albilose, Queens Park Ranlose or Borussia Monchangladlose. You seem quite pleased that another poster has started using it but it''s just a bit sh*t.
San Miguel 0 Posted September 20, 2011 i quite fancy going to this one but football is expensive and £40 plus travel and food is a lot of wedge when you''re paying for a season ticket too for those who''ve been before - is the ground easy to get to if you drive there? are we likely to sell out tickets quickly? (what am i thinking - it''s Norwich so of course we''ll sell out!)
canarydan23 4,060 Posted September 20, 2011 Agreed about Liverlose. It is about as funny as famine.

Gingerpele 0 Posted September 20, 2011 I thought you were a decent poster Shack? But you seem to be joining in with the mockery and piss taking of other posters like the few idiots who think its funny.... This forum, seriously is worse than any other i have ever been on. Football forums with a range supporters from different teams are more civil than this one, any other fans reading this must think Norwich fans are all pathetic.... ChelmsfordCanary 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Guys,Due to becoming a father this year, going to football is a bit non existent this year, went Chelsea and im going Sunderland at home with a mate. Now Im trying to get two tickets for Aston Villa away as a suprise for my father. I am not a club member or a season ticket holder. Now is it written application for this game? and does anyone know of anyone who could get hold of two tickets for me??Please PM me if anyone can get hold of two for me.......I know they are not on sale yet and I just think they will not go to general sale.Ian D
San Miguel 0 Posted September 20, 2011 some advice; you are correct in that the pinkun is often quite a childish and juvenile forum, and to be honest i probably wouldn''t use it as much as i do if it weren''t the only one i can access from work. it has it''s good points - they are plenty of NCFC fans who have serious debates or share useful info on our fine football club and city and plenty of fun, less serious posts can be found too. the focus, however, seems to be on picking sides and mentioning posters who are popular for winding others up. when someone critises what you say, it''s not especially clever to say ''f*ck off, you troll'' etc.. you''re never going to win and will only make yourself look childish. best thing to do, which is also the last thing most of them would want you to do, is ignore them and get back to the main topic under discussion you didn''t ask for this advice so please feel free to tell me where to get, but hopefully you see my point. and ShackAttack - i think they are hilarious, you should start a thread on the non-football bit to see if other''s can come up with more. Gingerpele 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Your right San Miguel, and i would much rather not get drawn into silly little childish arguments/insult contests, but I do, probably because I am fairly young and still a bit childish.I didn''t want to have to reply like that to iwansnorwich, its just the only people on here that actually do annoy me, are people like him. He''s got very few posts, so i haven''t noticed any of his other posts bar the ones moaning at me and Nexus. If he doesn''t like the term Liverlose, why can''t he just ignore it? As i said, i don''t think Ipsh!t or Binners are clever or funny, but i don''t jump on people''s back everytime they use those. I know I should just ignore people like iwansnorwich, and sometimes I do, but then i just feel like he''s going to be sitting at home/work/school thinking he''s won, not that i want to ''win'' because there isn''t anything to win, its just annoying. And Shack, i don''t want to get into an argument/offend you, as people like you and San Miguel are normally the ones who post in the sensible threads, I just don''t really like it when people who don''t know me start taking the p!ss etc... Shack Attack 0 Posted September 20, 2011
I thought you were a decent poster Shack? But you seem to be joining in with the mockery and piss taking of other posters like the few idiots who think its funny.
If mockery takes me from a decent poster to an indecent one in your view then that says more about you than it does about me. This forum used to pride itself on having a core of posters who whilst eloquent and knowledgeable did not take themselves to seriously. I try and behave in that manner so that I can make serious posts about football but also have a bit of a laugh when I think people are being a little pompous. You are a decent poster when it comes to the analysis of a game and (I''m making an assumption about your age here) it is good to see younger posters have stong opinions that are not necessarily shared by the majority. But I feel you have reacted badly here and felt like taking the piss. If you want to deconstruct the use of Liverlose so I can see just how amusing/satirical/clever it is then feel free. But don''t throw your toys out of the pram because others think it is a bit crap.
Gingerpele 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Its not mean''t to be funny or clever, its just because my friend who is a little bit of a glory hunter, was like most Liverpool fans getting fed up with how rubbish they were before Dalgish took over, and were losing all the time.... Its just a silly name for them, i don''t expect anyone to find it funny, but its just what I call them now. And I don''t see why it needs to be picked up on by multiple posters saying its a load of crap, can''t it just be ignored?
Shack Attack 0 Posted September 20, 2011 If it''s a private joke between friends which you want to be ignored then you are probably best to keep it between yourselves. The minute you start using it in a public forum you invite criticism and comment. Tagging the word lose on to the end of one of the most successful clubs in English history just sounds a bit crap to me. Call them paranoid whinging grief pornographers by all means [;)]

ryan1992 0 Posted September 20, 2011 What''s so bad about what GingerCanary has said/done? All football fans accross the Country have names they call other clubs, and he (and his mates) call Liverpool Liverlose, just like many of us on here (including me) call Ipswich the Binners, Ipsh!t etc. Others I use are Liverpoo, Liverfools and many others! Let''s just all try and get along, and use this board for the one thing we all love, NCFC, and not use it as a petty arguing center trying to score points on each other

Excited Canary 19 Posted September 20, 2011 Did this game really need to go to applications? We only took 2,600 to Bolton and that was with tickets being only £20. I know that Villa is quite a bit closer but I think a lot of people will be put off by the price (£23 for u16''s?!)Do people think I will be successful in Group 4? Boyo 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Is every game now going to go to written applications? Bit annoying if it is. If Villa is written applications then I would expect games like Everton and Newcastle away might be done with applications as well.
