I wonder when he''s back. When we signed him, he looked like he''d slotted straight in the team as a first choice player. I wonder weather that will still be the case or not?

The original news report said "A few months" that was August 26th..

So I''d guess november/december return? Maybe.

These things usually drag, that date might be right for back in training, but i bet he won''t be fully up and running and starting games until January, he might have to be sent out on loan for a month to get him up to speed, as i''m sure we''ll have established a decent pairing by then. His best hope is that injuries force him to come into the team earlier than needed.

When asked about Whitebread, Ward and Ayala last friday Paul Lambert roughly said the following:

''Zak is back in training next week, Ward is doing just fine and is coming along nicely but is still a few weeks away yet and the lad Ayala is doing just fine too but is someway off at the moment, Zak is the closest''

Read into that what you want but a rough timeline:

Zak Whitbread = 1-2 weeks

Elliot Ward = 3-4 weeks

Daniel Ayala = 2-3 months
