Posh have made bid for Cody

Sorry for another Cody thread, but Sky are now reporting Posh have bid for Cody:

 

"Skysports.com understands Peterborough United have made a bid to sign Norwich City striker Cody McDonald.

The 25-year-old impressed during a loan spell at Gillingham last season, scoring 25 goals in 41 League Two appearances.

He is not part of Paul Lambert''s plans following Norwich''s promotion to the Premier League, but could be offered the chance to play in the Championship.

Sheffield Wednesday were linked with the forward earlier in the summer, while Coventry City are also understood to be interested in McDonald.

However, Peterborough are thought to be in pole position to finalise a deal for the player before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.

Posh director of football Barry Fry has confirmed the club hope to sign a striker and a midfielder on loan from the top flight before the deadline."

The way Fry puts it makes me think that maybe we''ll be getting the 600k we wanted for Cody but are throwing in a midfielder on loan, Adeyemi maybe?

Not sure why just a feeling in my bones.

great move for adeyemi if it is. I rate him much higher than korey.

Another season on loan would do him really well, I certainly feel we can bring adeyemi forward into our first team plans in the next two seasons.

Cody, lets hope this goes through. Lets hope anythnig goes through to see him on his way so he can play.
