LeJuge 0 Posted August 10, 2011 That is an incredible gesture, shows not only the nicer side of football as a whole but the nicer side of society as a whole. As a player who no doubt probably still has to work, and in fact does work as a scout for Celtic, he would have been fully in his rights to keep every penny to set himself up for the future and nobody would have blamed him.We all saw how good he was here, The Sun got it spot on when they said he was potentially a future Celtic and Scotland player. I will go further than that and say that he was potentially a Liverpool or Man Utd player. It is rare that you see players so down to earth. He probably isn''t rich, but then he is probably better off than most, he has a good job in relation to most people, and is obviously proud of the limited success that he had despite his injury.10/10 all round. You can bet that a lot of multi-millionaires wouldn''t have done the same thing. In fact look at Gary Neville, he spent his on a hotel and supporters club, which will bring HIM profit. He easily had enough money to build that out of his own pocket.
