Norwich have completed the signing of Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala for a fee in the region of £800,000.

The 20-year-old spent four years at Anfield but made only five first-team appearances.

He spent time on loan in the Championship with both Hull and Derby last season.

"Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Ayala has completed his transfer to Norwich City," said a statement on liverpoolfc.tv

Good news. My other half''s cousin is a Liverpool season ticket holder and reckons he will be really good value for us if he gets a few games under his belt in a row. Feels he has the ability to cut it in the Prem but not going to force his way into Liverpool starting team for a while yet so the move makes sense.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY Aboout this!!! I know loads of scousers through mums side of family,and as was stated on their message boards,most wanted to keep him and was earmarked for the future!...a match against spurs recently,he was the only reason they didnt get hammered!...

But they think there is probably a hefty sell on clause to compensate..
