I had heard he had talked to us but I don''t think our budget will extend to the package he''s after. Shame, top class and if Blackburn get him at a good price, he will be an excellent investment.

  I totally agree with your comments about the transfer window. I wonder whether it works against newly promoted teams like us as we have only a few games to test our un-tried squad in the Premiership before the window shuts until January.
