Planned is the operative word. A week is a long time in professional football. All kinds of things change. Suppose City have so far spent 2m (say) less than planned - do you seriously think that Lambert would not bring in (say) Lansbury/Pacheco/A.N. Other if their clubs made them available before the end of this window within our original summer window budget limits? Remember that Lambert is looking at that 5'' 6" full back from the local leagues so why wouldn''t he look at a promising young German central defender. The plannned total of 7 additions refers to those who will be in the nominated 25 strong Prem squad only. Transfer activity (in and out) of the wider club squad will continue until the end of the window. So let''s see if a young German triallist takes the field tomorrow - or since the opposition is now a regional pick-up team maybe he''ll turn out for the opposition!
