Why do people question Lamberts decisions?

Recommended Posts

Are you saying we shouldn''t question the Gods? Cos I have a few questions about natural disasters if I meet any of them.

If its with regards to the end of transfer dealings and lack of aditional centre backs, I think it comes from what we learnt from last time in the top flight. A poor display in the summer transfer window that season ended up being a contributing factor towards our demise... the lack of signing a quality striker and centre back is what many see us the biggest mistake. Now thats not to suggest that people think that Lamberst signings are wrong, for the majority I think everyone is pleased with the ambition shown from the club, its just a fear that we might be sat here in 12 months feeling the same way after the last stint in the top flight. Personally I think we are going to be alright and alot of the players are going to become household names. In Lambert I trust, but I understand the questions raised.

But I have questions for them too. Like, why do they not strike down those who shepherd the ball out of play?

You should ALWAYS question anybody.  It''s out of hand criticism that''s not very good.I mean we should be able to ask how he made he decision to go with just Ruddy plus the two youngsters. Or how he views the CB situation.

Personally I think it is his infatuation with teams playing in claret and blue that needs to be queried.

If it had not been for talksport we would not have known that Lambert had joined Burnley, nor without skysports that he was Aston Villas new manager. And then thankfully the sun told us he was West Ham''s manager.

He needs to give up all these other jobs and focus on Norwich City.

We need to thank these reliable sources for letting us know what has been really going on.

On the whole I''m happy with the new boys and believe we''ve potentially got a squad good enough to keep us up at least.

Lets not forget that if things aren''t going so well come january then we always have the transfer window to make the necessary improvements.....

Lambert has earned the right NOT to be questioned imo, especially not by dumb arse posters who have never done his job at his level.

I can''t see how you can question Lambert as the job he has done is incredible. There is no other manager I would want to be in charge this season. People are always going to have their own opions but I bet the team that starts at Wigan will be very different from the side that plays our last game of the season. Some of the players will step up to Premership football but there will be one or two who will fall short. Time will tell but I trust the boss to get it right. I can''t wait for the season to start!

This part of the fun of footy. I have to say this is the one Norwich manager in 20 years that i do not questional at all, although i am sure there will be times in the future that opinion splits about certain players and decisions. We have finished 2 fantastic seasons of success noone ever questions success. More of a challenge is in the future success will initially look differently as it will be about surviving and we will have to get used to playing and losing against better teams. Then at some point as a club we will have to think about what does success for a club like Norwich look like ie suviving, mid table or even challenging for things??

I''m sorry that this has to be you but I have just had it with people who go ''oh John Ruddy isnt good enough we want Fraser Forster back''

or

''Elliott Ward is so crap he makes so many mistakes''

or

''Chris Martin is so lazy and he has got an attitude''

etc

but we still get

''Cody is so brilliant why isnt he in the squad Lambert''

or

''We need X/Y/Z in our team because otherwise we are going down''

FFS the season hasnt even started yet get a grip we dont know what is going to happen not even PL and the players know what they can achieve. Fair enough when we are 5-10 games in then we can point out where we might have issues but at the minute PL has chosen what he thinks is best and what he believes will keep us in the Premiership and after back to back promotions from 23rd in League one, I''m going to back him 100 percent of the way he is going to get things wrong he is HUMAN (debateable) much like Holt is going to miss a chance Hoolahan play a bad ball Crofts miss a tackle Ward Play a bad ball or miss a tackle Ruddy let in a shot he thought was saveable it is going to happen but lets just get to it 1st and then enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!

RANT OVER

Some people will question everything PL does, and then when he eventually does get something wrong they will turn round and say "told you so".

They probably have really sad lives, and that''s their only little bit of enjoyment. I suppose we ought to feel sorry for them.

It''s going to be a steep learning curve next season and mistakes are going to be made but as far as I''m concerned PL is the perfect manager for us and I wouldn''t swap him for anyone.

People should always question decisions, thats what is good about football, its about opinions - and some decisions raise concerns for some people.

Just because I question whether our back 4 is good enough next season does not mean I want the team to fail, to be able to say I told you so or that I think Lambert is a fool. I recognise that my opinion is different from some peoples and that I am wrong as often as I am right.

I question the strengthening of the defence because I want the team to succeed and not face relegation, I see the signing of probably just one player being enough to transform our team from a relegation battle one to one that can stay in the 12-16 places rather than 16-20 and want to voice my opinion concern about that.

I will support the team who turns our and pray I get proved wrong so that I can continue to hero worship Lamberts managerial nouse.

In lamberts ability I trust - that does not mean I blindly accept everything he does.

Lol - you are such a troll Wiz. Fortunatley the real world is not black or white

I do trust him - am just voicing my thoughts, and have never been prepared to simply blindly run with the lemmings.

Because it''s healthy. All this ''In Lambert We Trust'' is frankly a little bit cultish (I said cultish) and will only lead to more angst when we finally go through a bad run under his tenure. He has done very little wrong so far and has the potential to be a top class manager. I will give any of his signings the benefit of the doubt until I have seen them play for a decent length of time. But if he makes mistakes (and he will over time) then I will discuss them here as any normal fan would. Is ILWT the new KTF [;)]

Totally agree with Zipper, part of football is talking/ranting/discusssing differences in opinions the only one that matters in the end is Lamberts and most of us trust his judgement in the end. But I''m sure if you look even on Man U''s forums they''ll be saying they would like to see this and that aswell as voicing concerns. This forum would be pretty crap and/or dead if everyone just posted i''m totally happy with everything all the time.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
