On the original point, a few of us are heading to the Southend game and its ticket on the gate only.

BigManInTheBarclay 75 Posted July 3, 2011 Just a reminder that most of the pubs around the Palarse ground charge extra if your wearing a visiting team''s shirt...happened last year when we had the re-arranged Boxing Day game.I''d recommend going for a drink at Crystal Palace itself (not too far from the stadium) as there are 3 or 4 large pubs there and I''m guessing quite a few fans will be traveling to Crystal Palace station if not Selhurst. fonejacker 0 Posted July 25, 2011 Will be going to the Palace match tomorrow night, has anything been arranged with regards to a likely place to meet City fans beforehand? Also any idea on ticket price? have checked both our and Palace''s official sites, but can''t see anything about it. BigManInTheBarclay 75 Posted July 25, 2011 As it''s a fiendly I gue the Wetherspoons on the high street is the most likely place to meet.
Bill 1,788 Posted July 25, 2011 Bought a ticket in advance - against my principles but as it was a fiver cheaper, the price of a couple of pints swayed itfair play to the club as the lad said he would post it out second class as there was a few days to go - every penny counts !there''s a Wetherspoons outside Thorton Heath BR station (Flora Sandes) bit plastic like a works canteen and an ''olde worlde'' type one outside the Norwood Junction Br station (The William Stanley) - both15 mins to the ground Usually a fair number of City fans get in there before the Palace games
HoltsTash 0 Posted July 25, 2011 Anyone want to meet in the White Hart a decent pub in actual Crystal Palace which isn''t such a dive, can hop on a bus to Selhurst afterwards?
ncfcstar 287 Posted July 25, 2011 I''m tempted to go to the Southend match, what''s parking like around the ground?
Harry 0 Posted July 25, 2011 Follow the A127 to Southend. Continue towards the town centre, through the lights near to the Bell Pub. At the next roundabout turn right (3rd turning), continuing on the A127. The ground is on the right just past the next traffic lights. If you turn right as you reach the ground, this will put you behind the away end where there is plenty of street parking to be found. Otherwise there is a car park at the ground, behind the Main Stand which costs £5, or there is the Southend High School For Boys which also offers car parking for £5 per car (the school entrance is on Prittlewell Road). Paul 0 Posted July 28, 2011 As I said in the other thread there will be plenty of parking down the side streets tonight and save yourself a fiver. I parked down a side road 2 years ago for the league game and had about a ten min walk.
