"Canaries crushed: We launch countdown to Norwich City relegation

Lets be avenya! Tonight the Evening Star launches a valuable new service to all our readers.

“Off the Boil City” is a countdown clock recording the days until the Canaries regain their rightful place in the football hierarchy – The Championship.

And we’re sure that Town fans will be Delia-lighted to pass the old enemy coming up if our new manager takes his Jewells up to the Premiership next season.

The clock starts now and gets going in earnest in August. You can see it on the homepage of our sports section.

The only question is, of course, when the sands of time will run out for Norwich City.

Will they be relegated by Easter . . . or will they carry on in limbo like this year’s relegated teams until the last match of the season. Time will tell."

You may recall we did the same to them a few years ago. Our countdown clock kind of disappeared when they did well and ended up finishing 5th. Hopefully their''s will have the same fate....

Bless ''em. I suppose I''d be bitter if we''d been utterly stuffed by them last season as they blazed through the league.

Do they still have their countdown clock for when they actually achieve their ''Three Year Plan''?

My gloryhunting Arsenal supporting (I suppose you can''t call Arsenal fans gloryhunters when they haven''t won a trophy for a while) say we''ll get relegated, but then again, who thought that we''d get promoted last year? I think we''ll surprise the bookies again this year.

What a load of Horse crap, these binmen are really very bitter towards us still, I think they must still be suffering from shell shock, from our 2 bombings over them, And are very jealous, never mind. we are here on Merit.

I really don''t know why we are even bothering to discuss this insignificant shambles of a Club. They have a failed porno star Manager and an invisible owner who seems certain to pull the plug sooner rather than later. They are consumed by jealousy and are still in shock at the way they were taken to the cleaners (twice). I would suggest that, rather than carry on their obsession with us, they devote a little more of  their energy to a bit of inward contemplation. They may well be alarmed at what they see.

If I were an Ipswich fan (thank the lord I am not) I would be feeling very bitter around now too, it''s been a long time since one of the two EA rival clubs had this much superiority over the other, even when we were in the 3rd division we still got higher attendances than them.

Nevermind you will have two games against Premiership sides to look forwards to next season if you are lucky 1p5hit - I believe that Aston Villa and Newcastle are on some type of crusade to join you in the Championship.
Yes, I think that sums up the particular count down clock on the website below.Kerlick
But it''s the 2012 Olympic games countdown clock, isn''t it ?

What happened to Operation Premiership ?

Desperately hoping we get relegated does seem rather a bit of acome down from those heady days of the ''mighty town''.

A mere two years ago we were heading for obscurity in league 1 (our rightful place said the EAST at the time !) whilst our ever dimwitted neighbours were over exciting themselves at the thought of Keane and promotion.

A bit further back and Carrow Road witnessed hundreds of young farhands waving money about as if having just staved off bankrupttcy by handing over their club to a dodgy arms dealer (for less than £4m)meant they were going to be super rich.

Even last season saw these dimwits wetting their knickers over a few early results and talking of promotion - whilst bleating that we would, at best, struggle to stay up.

So allow them their amusement, their delusions. They have little else. The gap has never been wider and this season will merely expand that gap.

The funny thing is as strong as the Championship is this season I can see Ippo being relegation fodder themselves.

So let''s not worry about such trivial small minded inbread types, who live in a small smelly little town, who long to be living in a City and have a team worthy of the Premiership.

We might well not survive this season but even if we don''t, I doubt we will be playing Ippo the following season, they will have their Colchester derby back in league 1.

Seen their list of MUST SEE games for next season?

Liverpool? No. Man Utd? No. Arsenal? No.

It''s this!

FIVE OF THE BEST

MUST SEE GAMES:

Aug 27: Leeds (home, always a big occasion)

Sept 27: West Ham (away, welcome return to Upton Park)

Jan 31 West Ham (home, to complete the double over the Hammers!)

Feb 25: Brighton (away, a new ground)

Apr 28: Doncaster (away, for Town’s promotion party!) Ha! Ha! Ha!

Suppose Its a envy with these lower league clubs, bit like hartlepool looking at newcastle or tranmere at everton/liverpool, Its quite sad really.

If all we had to look forward to even before a ball has been kicked is the prospect of the local ''haves'' rejoining the ''have nots''. in the champoinship then id worry for my clubs future .NO AMBITION, NO FANS, NO MONEY (OF THERE OWN) NO HOPE, Any binners that can read - Where in the money ££££££££ whatever happens now f*** off

That''s pretty funny, it''s not like they have good news or transfers to report...they signed one fat lad so far and it isn''t looking any better for them.

We’ve had no offers for any of our players and that includes Connor,” said Jewell

Well that''s a surprise, I wonder why? I better call my friend who is a Rocket Scientist and I''ll get right back to you Mr Jewell

Unfortunately the above does not seem to have filtered down to the suffolk dimwits as they still constantly bleat about whether Liverpool or Sunderland have bid £8m or £10m for the boy blunder - who unsurprisingly did not feature in the recent U21 games.

Rather like bringing on a pantomime horse halfway through the Horse of the Year Show.

So let''s hope that they remain higher in their table than we are in the Premier, as that relegation clock might just look rather mis-named
