ncfc4life 0 Posted June 1, 2011 Just coming up on the bottom of sky news screen that Tony Fernandes has put in an offer to buy West Ham, so much for investing money in us then
Row D Seat 7 0 Posted June 1, 2011 West Ham are his team, so not surprise there really.
Worsencroft 0 Posted June 1, 2011 Good luck to him... he generally appears to be a businessman whose heart is in sport and the club he supports, rather than trying to make a quick buck... much better than the odious partnership of Sullivan and Gold.
CanaryOne 0 Posted June 1, 2011 Fernandes tweets he has put in an offer to buy the club ,West Ham respond there has been no offer , maybe Mr Lotus is all talk no action , funny how he''s been banging on again about investing in Norwich ever since promotion , where was he when we needed the money . Yellowbeagle 0 Posted June 1, 2011 These business men come along every once in a while looking for some good PR, they dont truelly have a fans interest in the clubs unless it''s one they have always supported. It''s like a toy and people get bored with toys. Sure when we were struggling badly the investment would have been massive, but as it is in the end we''ve managed to do well with out it. Imo it would be much better for us long term if the club can be profitable in it''s own right without looking for a quick fix.
AJ 1,218 Posted June 1, 2011 From the comments made by Gold and Sulliven over his ''approach'', he sounds immature and childish as opposed to being serious about investment. I''m glad we didn''t let him buy into our club, he doesn''t sound like the kind of person we''d like to come here
The Walking Man 13 Posted June 1, 2011 With all the greatest respect isn''t he ''only'' worth £180m? In which case he surely doesn''t have the money to seriously affect West Ham''s current financial situation, £80m in debt I believe. Still good luck to the bloke it''s the team he supports...
