ncfcfan 0 Posted June 2, 2011 They''ve made a £3m offer for Watford striker Danny Graham. While we''ve spent more on 2 players, who got exactly the same amount of goals as Graham between them.
Mr Wolf 0 Posted June 2, 2011 That will get rejected. Plus, Vaughan - for at least £1m less - who is four years younger but with seven more years of experience at a Prem club is IMO a better bit of business. Wouldn''t say they''re showing more ambition. I wouldn''t even be surprised if we''d bid for Graham and Shane Long as well.
UEA Canary 0 Posted June 2, 2011 anyone remember nathan ellington? prolific in the championship with wigan, scored over 30 goals in their promotion season. think he joined WBA after that and did f-all in the prem, couldnt hack it, wasted £3m. just saying spending a lot of money on a player doesnt mean you''re more ambitious and doesnt mean it''ll bring success, may mean you''re more wasteful. Adam NCFC 0 Posted June 2, 2011 That 1 player gets injured they''ve got nothing for their £3m. 1 of our 2 gets injured, we''ve got the other one.
87canary 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Have you not learnt to trust Paul Lambert by now?
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted June 2, 2011 If Lambert thinks Vaughan and Morrison will be better signings than Graham then I trust him.Vaughan certainly has more Premier League pedigree and potential than Graham for me.
woody 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Don''t be daft! Anyway they were told to go away unless they had £8 million.
Joanna Grey 0 Posted June 2, 2011
Don''t be daft! Anyway they were told to go away unless they had £8 million.
That was QPR when they bid £2.5m but Watford''s valuation still stands though. Would expect that ''if'' he goes it will be somewhere over £5m.
Block E Buh 0 Posted June 2, 2011 In Lambert we trust. Not bothered about anyone else except Norwich City whilst Lambert is in charge. Back to back promotions? Dont worry about anyone except us.
KingOfSpainNCFC 0 Posted June 2, 2011 I agree with the above posters, that Vaughan has a greater amount of potential due to his age, and albeit small amount of premier league experience. Anyway, as said before, in Lambert we trust.
Morisons Prozac 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Mate, surely you know how we work by now. I think Vaughan will be our signing of the summer without even knowing the other players yet. £2.5m is an absolute bargain for a pacy, hardworking striker as young as him with Prem pedigree. Would much rather have him than Graham, CMS or Morrison (even though we are likely to sign one of the latter two as well).

Mr_Chimp 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Heartening to know that matter what we achieve, and how we go about it, there will always be morons like the OP ready to bring you back down to earth.ILWT.
Jez 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Going for a big name signing doesn''t necessarily represent ambition. I''d rather have a few cheaper players (of a certain quality obvs) than one expensive player, brining in "star" signings is as likely to ruin the ''togetherness'' of the club as anything else. One star a team does not make!
star_manic 0 Posted June 2, 2011 the OP could have posted exactly the same this time last year and look how wrong he would have been then. chelski paid £50M for torres but we are only bidding 2-2.5M for morrison, no ambition at all these canaries.
PKC 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Can we not wait til all the transfer activity is completed and everyone has played about ten game before we decide who has shown the most ambition. That was aimed at the OP by the way.
