flecky76 0 Posted June 9, 2011 "The New Dave Watson" - circa 1994. For those that don''t remember, he was about 18 when John Deehan paid £100k for his services from Hereford after just 8 league games. He never played for Norwich first team.I stumbled across this and found this a very fascinating read, so please take a look.http://www.herefordtimes.com/sport/9075090.Former_Hereford_United_and_Norwich_City_player_Andy_Brownrigg_battles_to_help_young_footballers/?ref=rss
Grant Holt is a Monster 0 Posted June 9, 2011 Interesting, never knew any of that. Remember Brownrigg playing for the reserves and thinking he looked good but a little slight. Pity for him but sounds like he''s got a handle on life now.
Canariesworld 0 Posted June 10, 2011 I actually interviewed Andrew for a teaching job a few months ago. He is a very academic chap and has been working towards his PHD.
Rum Ol Boy 0 Posted June 12, 2011 that was a good find. I remember Andy signing for us and was considered a great young prospect.....just shows we never truly know what goes on behind closed doors. The good news is he identified his problem and addressed it, good for him
Block Y Seat 176 80 Posted June 13, 2011 You would hope that football clubs educate their younger players by using examples, and first hand accounts of people who have suffered addictions. Well done to Tony Adams also.H
