Morisons Prozac 0 Posted May 31, 2011 So will they be the only two we are releasing?
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted May 31, 2011 They''re the only 2 senior players out of contract as far as I know. Everybody else has a price I assume.
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted May 31, 2011 I can see a few others going TBH.Just also want to say thanks to Gill and Askou for what they have done (in whatever way/small) in helping NCFC rise from the ashes up the leagues and push for the Prem this season, good luck for the future. Morisons Prozac 0 Posted May 31, 2011 Neither of them featured much but both had parts to play in where we are now. Gill was reported to be a big character in the dressing room and kept people''s spirits up if we were in trouble and helped keep the general mood at the training ground friendly. Askou was also a big player in our League One season and before injury, was being touted as a contender for POTS. So for what they did during the revival I thank them and wish them all the best in the future.
smooth 114 Posted May 31, 2011 All the best, however our success was there downfall. If the team had not had back to back promotions and the additions we acquired last summer out performing them, they may well have been offered new contracts. Certainly under some of the old regimes here, they would have been.Lets hope we can thrash out the double deal with Hughes and Smith returning to Scotland and Craig Brown''s Aberdeen.Great to see Vaughan here and now it all begins, lets enjoy. Players leaving who have done us a job get praise and those that join eager for success. It is such a shame that as of yet there seem to be a number of players who we may suggest can be off loaded that actually warrant much of a fee. A team on back to back promotions with no players leaving for a significant fee shows that they were bit part players.Anyway good luck to both and welcome James Vaughan.
