scrimmage 0 Posted May 27, 2011 I''ve picked realistic ones who I would like, no like Bosingwa or Michael Owen.Kazenga Lua Lua - Newcastle - great pacy player lethal from free kicks, would be a great signing.Angel Rangel - Swansea - would challenge for number 2 spot with R MartinZavon Hines - West Ham - same category as Vaughan, untried in the prem but different dimension to what Vaughan will give us. Pacy and good finisher, but in a relegated side so would question his mentality.Patrick Kisnorbo - Leeds - not seen him play for a while but a commanding presence at the back, challenge Whitbread or Ward for a place at the back. For me these would be four great free signings but who knows who PL will go for? Also talking of Swansea, watched Wales in their Carling Nations games and David Cotteril has been excellent in both games for me, whips in a great cross and is different to the midfielders we currently have being a wide man. jed exodous 0 Posted May 27, 2011 If money was no object, probably the best 11 i could field out of that lot would beGreen, Bosingwa, Gallas, Upson, Coleman, Danny Murphy, Scholes, David Vaughan, Owen, Elmander and Carew Realistically, who would i like us to signerm, Westwood, Eardley, Bowyer, Earnshaw, Reo-coker, Cohen, Gera, would be a good mix of experience and a bit of potential... I am a Banana 0 Posted May 27, 2011 Seamus Coleman, maybe JV can help with this one...?Darren Pratley, although Bolton are interested!I like Gareth McAuley but he has signed for WBA i believe.Aron Gunarsson, Kieran WestwoodZoltan Gera, maybe Danny MurphyJohan Elmander, just purely as he looks like grant holt.Kevin Phillips, he may be 40ish now but he still knows where the net is! Red-unrealistic [n]
Smudger 0 Posted May 27, 2011 Not sure who I would consider out of that lot, but dependant on wages that they are seeking, character and how I think they would fit in to our squad, the following might be worth taking a look at...Seb Larsson from Brum - has to be better than the last Swedish winger that we had?David Vaughan (Blackpool), may be able to do a job for us, but I would hope that we can bring in better.John Pantsil (could give us experienced cover at right back and right midfield), with Zoltan Gera and Danny Murphy also from Fulham maybe worth a look?Jonathan Woodgate - Good player but probably on too much money and has too much of an ego to fit in hereGiles Barnes (West Brom), could Lambert & Co get the best out of this young attacking midfielder? He could be a useful addition to the squad on a FREE at his best maybe?West Ham have several players that I think it would be worth us taking a look at if we can get them to reduce they are willing to take a wage cut and prove that they still have what it takes to cut it in the Prem... Rob Green, Matty Upson, Jonathan Spector and Danny Gabbidon could all be useful options.Chris Burke (Cardiff), would be a useful addition to the squad on a FREE in my opinion, I have been impressed with his form when he has played for the Taffs and I think that although he might not be a starter that he would give our midfield another option down the right hand side.Aron Gunnarsson (Coventry), would be a useful addition to the squad giving us cover at right-back. Wouldn''t cost a fortune in wages.David Norris (Ip5h1t) just to pee off them yokels down the road!Bradley Johnson (Leeds), could give us a bit of grit in midfield on the left hand side of the diamond when we need it?Aleksandar Tunchev (Leicester), possible cover at centre-half, although would expect him to be back up for what we haveDarren Pratley (Swansea) we must definitely sign this guy if Reading beat Swansea on Monday in my opinion.Don Cowie (Watford) might be worth a look as an extra option to add numbers to the squad for midfield if we are struggling for numbers.Who would you guys be interested in from the above? militantcanary 0 Posted May 27, 2011 Sorry but you have lifted this from Goal.com which was updated in....Jan 2011Eg Coleman from Everton is not out of contact anymore. For up to date info go to Transfer Markt
Smudger 0 Posted May 27, 2011 I have no idea where it is from, or exactly how up to date it is. I thought it was a little out of date as I think that Willo Flood is at Dundee Utd now, but it gives us some idea of what is available. The list was just passed on to me by a friend. Please post a link to the new list so that we can take a look at that one.
Badger 2,745 Posted May 28, 2011 I can''t pretend to be expert on these matters, but I always tend to work on the principle that there are two categories of free:1. The players who for whatever reason the club is not that bothered about renewing -age/ form/ potential/ wages2. The good players who like to keep their options open with the hope of a better deal elsewhere.I''m not sure that many from category one are suitable for Norwich. The second category concerns me that although they may be free, they expect the fee to be made up with higher wages. In addition, there is something a bit mercenary about it that concerns me a little. I suspect that paying a fee and lower wages is often "better business." judderman 0 Posted May 28, 2011 Could Robbie Blake do a job as back up for Hoolahan? Problem is I don''t think he''d like to move down south. If Swansea don''t go up De Vries was an excellent keeper last year, Rangel could be another right back, and Pratley is good in midfield. Probably worth sniffing around there at leastNeil Danns has done well for Palace hasn''t he?David Nugent of course.I can''t really see anyone else who stands out. I''m looking for realistic centre backs there

Calle 20 Posted May 28, 2011 I would love to have Sebastian Larsson... He always looks good when playing for Sweden, can play as a winger or right defender... Puts in great crosses and is very good at free kicks and corners,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsr51y47iekhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKwGdHrvSBESome other Swedes worth a look is attacking central midfielder Pontus Wernbloom, plays for AZ Alkmar, regular starter for Sweden.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77nimlo89Go Seb Larsson puts in a great cross for Wernbloom to head home...Andreas Granqvist, central defender plays in Holland... Think he played some games for Wigan a couple of seasons ago. A better player now and only the great form of Mellberg and Majstorovic keeps him out of the starting lineup. Finally, Emir Bajrami. left footed winger. Tricky player with great cross and pacehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlBCI4JcKTshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8H0wJxY6us&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi8rLwQomI0&feature=related

Tim Allman 1 Posted May 28, 2011 Within the last few weeks my younger daughter Amy went to a theme park with one of out of contract players (listed in Smudger''s opening post) and his family. I met said player after the day out when I collected Amy; we had a chat about what next season may hold for him. Given the timing of the visit, which I thought was more than a little strange, all I can say is that I didn''t think he should have gone and I doubt his club knew he was there!
