JJ 0 Posted May 9, 2011 Ive got a season ticket in left part of the Jarrold Stand (level to the 6 yard box if you can visualise it). You would think the last match of the season would provoke a carnival atmosphere around the ground however throughout the match all the Jarrold could provide is lots of clapping to the tune of the Norwich faithfuls (Barclay and Snake Pit). All this is doing is moving the Norwich faithfuls to the Barclay (im considering it) and creating a zone of dead support.
Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted May 9, 2011 If you want a quiet zone try the Morgue stand......active until kick off then sleepy time.
Viva_Marc_Libbra 0 Posted May 9, 2011 Historically though at virtually every club that I can think of the rowdiest support is behind goals. It''s just the way it works, unfortunate for us we''ve just got the Barclay and Snakepit and the N&P doesn''t join in. We''re also very much a family club, but it''d be nice to create more noise regardless, it''s very enclosed and it''d make for a particularly intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams. Potentially creating 1,2,3 extra points and that could be all the difference within the Premier League.
Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted May 9, 2011 The Jarrold stand K and M(?) blockers are where the action is in the Jarrold stand.
BigManInTheBarclay 84 Posted May 9, 2011 I was in the Jarrold (Area L) and it was pretty noisy! It seems that most of the singing starts in the Snake-Pit and then moves around the ground, nothing wrong with that! The entire ground always drowns out ANY visiting supporters and that''s how it should be. Cappsy 0 Posted May 9, 2011 i think the party animals/chant starters should be scattered around the ground so they encourage others to join in with the singing! obviously they dont have to join in if they dont want to but i know ive felt as though id look an idiot if i got up and started singing in a mildy quiet jarrold some games and there is one legend in the block next to away fans usually each time im in there who wheres a retro/old city shirt and a scarf who always stands up and sings and chants! on his own most of the time! he even turns round to get the others going. i remember he started the chanting off in the jarrold at the sunthorpe game, he was almost wetting himself when he got a whole stand singing with a lil help from the barclay :) well at the 1p5wich beamback, there were men who got up singing and dancing who kind of led the way and spurred on others to join in! its not the same with a 16 year old jumping up trying to encourage others, id get looked at as if im a bit too eager but men who do it really get others into it! luckily im next to the snakepit next season :)
