Lansbury caught speeding ...

Recommended Posts

... in Suffolk, according to the Evening News.

Obviously trying to get out of the place:

"One of the stars of Norwich City’s promotion campaign been spared a driving ban after he was caught speeding at more than 100mph.

Midfielder Henri Lansbury, who helped the Canaries secure promotion to the Premier League, was clocked speeding in Suffolk."

Midfielder Henri Lansbury, who helped the Canaries secure promotion to the Premier League, was clocked speeding in Suffolk attending the hearing but couldn''t stop smirking when the Judge admitted to being a life long Ipswich fan and promtly fined him £750, Lansbury offered to pay straightaway and got his cheque book out.The Judge was left fuming.

Wanting to be out of Suffolk quickly was probably seen as a mitigating circumstance, hence he escaped a ban!

Like the six points comment, but really the whole thing''s a joke. It''s taken 6 months to come to court which is ludicrous.

20 year old lad, inexperienced driver, hurling an A5 down a dual carriageway at 100+? He should have been banned, no question, footballer or not.

It''s also the attitude of a minority of kids like him that force up insurance premiums for young drivers to stupid levels. But of course, he can afford them can''t he? Most youngsters can''t.

He was probably being chased by pitch fork welding mob, they probably thought the car was a steel dragon or something, remember they still use horse and carts in the land that time forgot.
