Hello ''Give Peas a Chance'', i even questioned my source at the weekend too, asking if he was sure, the reply was a definate 100% yes.  If it isn''t i''ll be totally amazed.

I really  think Norwich have missed a trick here, if they had them ready to roll on the last game of the season and before the parade i''m sure they would have made a bomb.  Of course people will still buy them, but at at time when emotions were running so high, they may have missed out on an extra sale or two?

Agree. The timing is really bizarre. Either there has been a delay for whatever reason in manufacturing the kits, or there has been a last minute change of kit maker for whatever reason. My theory would be on the delay in manufacturing, especially if we have got someone poor like errea making the kit.

I would guess that the contract with Xara didn''t expire until after the season had finished and therefore legally the club couldn''t produce/show a new kit until this happened. The delay since could be down to manufacturing issues or to make an impact when it''s launched i.e. new players wearing it.

I think you''re probably right about the Xara contract. Would make sense that the contract ends today, last day in May, so I''d expect an announcement at some point this week, as McNally promised.

Xara are probably a bit pissed that we are leaving them after so long as we appear to be their only major client and so are enforcing the contract to stop us showing the new one.

We couldn''t hold off the press conference to present Vaughan at the same time as he is off on holiday tomorrow.

Finally it''s definitely an Italian brand. A photographer posted on twitter that he done a photo shoot with the team at CR, and posted a picture of the empty stadium. (He didn''t say which particular Italian make ).

Sounds a good reason yellow blood. There''s bound to be reasons that we know nothing about. Could be manufacturing issues. As an aside, I went into M&S to buy a hosiery item last week and was told there had been problems in production meaning it would be another month before the item would be in store. This item is usually in stock by now as it''s a summer item.

I usually buy my summer hosiery from M&S too!

Without wanting to overly condemn Errea without knowing what''s going on, one of the main negatives I''ve heard linked to them is the fact that they''re often late in delivery, especially with large orders. Obviously this is just conjecture, and I''d rather it wasn''t the case, but who knows? Maybe we''re having to wait on the first batch to belatedly get here from Italy before we reveal all, as to actually have something to sell when the time comes. On the other hand, maybe we have a completely different maker and the marketing team are just playing hard to get [:)]

That''s settled then, it''s on Wikipedia it must be true. Excuse me for a second while I edit Lionel Messi''s Wikipedia page.
Hmm, Tottenham are changing to under armour so that list isn''t right.
Not until 2012/2013 season though.
Maybe we wont have a kit next season. Will be the first porn-related football club.
Or possibly the players will just wear pants, the whole ''Russell Martin in his pants'' scene on Sky could well have been our first sneak at the new kit [Y]

Ah, ok then. Odd that theyve announced that already and we are only a week or so away and still haven''t done so!

Just a couple of points, the contract with Xara wouldn''t have stopped us releasing details on the new kit manufacturer and if as reported there has already been a photo shoot we have already received some of the kit which can be shown and pre ordered as we have done in the past.

Must admit I thought today would be the day we''d get to see the odds on favourite Errea kit. Bit late now I suppose, so I guess either Thursday/Friday.

The contract with Xara could stop us from showing it the new kit early. All depends on the particulars of the contract, you can put whatever you want into a contract (unless it''s against the law) as long as both sides agree to it. And remember the Xara contract would''ve been negotiated when Doncaster was in charge...

I thought it would be today as well. What are we going to post about when the new stuff does come out and CMS signs for somebody? The messageboard is gonna be deserted.

Maybe because we didn''t know which division is a possible reason as you can''t have a sponsor on the back of the shirt in the premiership like you can in the football league.

Maybe didn''t want to sell a load of shirts with AVIVA on the back above the name and have to recall them.

I just don''t get why McNally would announce we could see the new kit in April without thinking of the possibilities of sponsors on the back of shirts and premier league badges etc. we were challenging for auto promotion at the time, so I can''t see why he would announce a release month without thinking these things through first

MY guess would be we''ll hear/see something tomorrow.

I''ve learnt Thursday is a day norwich usually release ''news''

I didn''t say showing the new kit early mahogany, I said releasing the name of the new manufacturer.
I still reckon delay is because the premier league badge has had to be added.
It''s only a bit of material you iron on to the sleeve.  If this is a reason for the delay then there are people in the wrong job.

It won''t be because of the premier league badges as they don''t come on the shirt, you pay extra for them.

I think it''s due to a manufacturing delay as it won''t of started until after we got promoted.

I also think it will be errea(or another Italian brand) as a professional photographer tweeted a few weeks ago that he was at carrow road doing a shoot for norwich''s new "Italian kit"

I thought the ruling was that you''re not allowed multiple shirt sponsors, like you see in europe. Seeing as it''s just another Aviva logo it should be ok.

http://www.fcbusiness.co.uk/news/article/newsitem=885/title=premier+league+is+not+expected+to+introduce+multiple+shirt+sponsors

I may be wrong but that''s the way I read it.
