City penguin 0 Posted April 23, 2011 we should but we dont have enough of that type of fan, not having a dig our fans are great just cant see a mass pitch invaision.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted April 23, 2011 Yawn! Here we go again, lets run around aimlessly and ruin the celebrations for everybody else.
City penguin 0 Posted April 23, 2011 point proved ^ we dont have that type of fan. Going on the pitch wouldnt harm anyone or ruin anything.
Harry 0 Posted April 23, 2011 As I said last season this sort of thing should be spontaneous not prearranged, amongst other things it tips the Club off what is being planned.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted April 23, 2011 What does going onto the pitch achieve?Just never seen the fascination of running around like a headless chicken, I guess simple things do it for simple folk.
Legend Iwan 30 Posted April 23, 2011 Harry’s spot on. It’s meant to be a spontaneous act of sheer passion and joy. I can already hear the tannoy announcement, “if anyone encroaches the field of play, Paul Lambert and the team won’t come out back out.” That will be blasted out a good 15mins before the end. Football used to be a working mans game with unrivalled passion and pride. Im guessing your either a young fan or part of the new "delia" wave of fans. Im not saying thats a bad thing or critisising but football is watered down these days.
pete 371 Posted April 23, 2011 Isn''t this just a tad premature, if OP wants to invade the pitch if successful let him, hopefully he might be alone. Lifetime ban for the numbskull, only spoil it for the law abiding majority. If it happens just enjoy the day and use your brain.

City penguin 0 Posted April 23, 2011 ever seen the league cup semi final against ipswich video? Watch it and tell me you wouldnt want to be part of it. If you dont your a happy clapper ;)
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted April 23, 2011 I can''t say how i''d react in the moment of sheer joy if it was allowed but the fact of the matter is; it isn''t allowed and I don''t see how it is worth going against the wishes of the club and ruining the enjoyment of others for.
City penguin 0 Posted April 23, 2011 if its allowed how is it a pitch invasion? Please explain how it would ruin it for others? For me the fact its not aloud makes it all the more fun. Cut from different cloth me and you.
CaptnCanary 0 Posted April 23, 2011 I''d love to run on the pitch and join in the celebrations. I mean, how often do you get to step out on the hallowed turf? If you can''t appreciate that then you cannot have any passion, surely? But if the club will end up getting fined for it then I would prefer nobody did it. In my opinion, this should be allowed when exceptional achievement has occured, i.e. promotion or winning a trophy.

Lambert is King 0 Posted April 23, 2011 Well done op. I am sure a spontaneous pitch invasion would have happened if / when we get promoted. You have however just made it a planned event, we already know this message board is read, so well done I am sure you have now organised the club statement prior to the last game. So before you now go slating your fellow fans for following the club statement remember people like you tried to plan it.On a slightly different note if there is a pitch invasion do those already warned still get bans as previously stated ?. DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted April 23, 2011 If we win promotion with a late goal and it feels right at the time i''m on there like a shot to enjoy the celebrations with the players
Mello Yello 2,572 Posted April 23, 2011 On the pitch? NO TAR.......
ThorpeCanary 71 Posted April 23, 2011 If we earn promotion with a late goal, or even if we are holding on to a win by one goal (or drawing if its enough) with everybody baying the referee to blow his whistle - when it finally hits full time then yes I think thats when a pitch invasion would happen. Anything else then no, i remember last time when the Barclay had been singing "we''re going on the pitch" all game then jeered members of the snake pit when they actually went on!I wont be on either way, damn upper tier. merson_dim 0 Posted April 23, 2011 it doesnt "ruin it for others". Look at stoke city, rochdale, bournemouth etc, its part of the celebrations. doesnt stop the players coming out, if we go up to the prem and there is a pitch invasion there is not a chance the players will run into the changing room and stay there. in any case celebrating on the pitch is better than standign in a stand with players doing a lap of honour.players love ithttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRPgATt-b1EHvPIxu5r01dgfk_O18el4EOliiXSWfHgDUNKEclb&t=1http://www.austinchronicle.com/binary/f005/StokePitchInvasion08.jpghttp://whydelilah.adaptive.co.uk/files/images/Cresswell-against-Leicester.jpghttp://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/bournemouth595.jpghttp://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/images/2008/05/04/scfc_delap_promotion_main_203x152.jpghttp://image.guim.co.uk/Guardian/sport/gallery/2008/may/08/photography/GD7145570@Stoke-City-City-v-Lei-8146.jpghttp://www.paulcurriephotography.co.uk/gallery/public/images_upload/2032727.jpg
