If we finished 2= on points, goal difference & goals scored, then...

Football League Regulation #9 says:

9 Method of Determining League Positions

9.1 At the end of each Season the Club in each Division scoring the highest number of points
shall be declared the Champion Club of that Division. Three points shall be awarded for
each League Match won. One point will be awarded to each Club for a drawn match. If two
or more Clubs have scored the same number of points their position in the Division shall
be determined on goal difference, that is to say, the difference between the total number of
goals scored by and against a Club in League Matches in that Season, and the higher or
highest placed Club shall be the Club with the larger or largest goal difference. If any two
or more Clubs have scored the same number of points and have the same goal difference
the higher or highest placed Club shall be the Club having scored the most goals in
League Matches in that Season.

9.2 If two or more Clubs have the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored
the highest placed Club shall be determined by the respective League records against
each other, taking into account in order of precedence, points gained, goal difference and
goals scored. If the above procedures do not separate the Clubs, then the Clubs
concerned shall play off a deciding League Match or Matches under arrangements
approved by the Board on a neutral ground.
The net gate money after deducting the usual
match expenses shall be equally divided between the two competing Clubs. Any Club
staging such a play off match shall be entitled to charge as an expense against the
receipts of the match 10% of the gross gate receipts after deduction of Value Added Tax.
In the event of such a match being arranged by the Board to be played on the ground of a
Club which is not a member of The League, then a similar charge as an expense against
the receipts of the match shall be paid to The League who shall otherwise be responsible
for the financial arrangements made with the Club staging the match.
These provisions shall determine the ranking of Clubs in their respective Division

Seems we''d be better off finishing second with either QPR or Reading rather than Cardiff.

This scenario isn''t as far-fetched as it may seem, but we have currently scored 77 goals to Cardiff''s 74, so we do at least lead them here. Hopefully it won''t come to this though!!!

My maths produces the following sequences as the most likely scenario under which BBB''s criteria will be met.Norwich 0-1, 2-0, 2-0 goals 81 gd +26Cardiff 5-5, 1-0, 1-0   goals 81 gd +26so fingers crossed that cardiff don''t scrape a 5-5 draw in the next 3 games. [;)]

the Premiership won''t want the welsh in their league so they will probably enact some long forgotten law like the one where it is legal to shoot a welshman with a bow and arrow in Hereford Cathedral

I believe that was why we were allowed to play our game against the binners two days early, why scunthorpe and the binners who are both english allowed us to win by quite a lot of goals - and swansea who are welsh tried to reverse that help

with any luck we will be all over at pompey and so we can lose the last home game and still celebrate at carrow road ................... about not being welsh for one thing

Actually although these original laws (if they ever existed) may not have been implicitly repealed they have in the course of history been impliedly repealed time and again eg Homicide Act 1957, and probably most recently in the HRA 1998 ( Sch 1 article 2 para 1 "Everyone’s right to life shall be protected by law.")

You all seemed to have missed the bit where it said league record against each other would also count. Which is the bit Cardiff beat us on.

Dang it.. I was hoping it would resort to the captains lining up on the center line and simply going at each other. My money of course being on Grant Holt.
