If this sort of stuff has already been discussed my apologies.

I had a look back over the last sixty years at the respective end of season placings and attendances.

Unsurprisingly Ipswich came top in the league placings. They had ten years from 1973 when their average placing was 5th.

We had a nice little run for 8 years from 1987 when our average placing was 10th (including a 3rd, 4th and 5th).

Anyway, the average end of season standings is Ipswich - 24th and Norwich - 29th. Not really much differene overall, despite that great run and them winning the old First Division.

But the attendances make interesting reading. Despite the fact that they finished above us no less than 42 times out of 60, their attendances are actually lower. We have an average of 19,000 over the last 60 years, while theirs is 18,000.

You can make of this what you will......just a bit of fun.

And who cares as we stuffed them twice this season and we''re going to end up above them.
