Pitch-Side Incident During Celebrations

Recommended Posts

I watched the highlights of the game earlier on Late Kick Off, which my brother had recorded on Sky+, and noticed that as the players were celebrating promotion in front of the away fans, an orange-clad steward is either restraining someone or tending to their medical needs.  Its hard to tell which, but either way the pigs standing nearby don''t look too bothered.Anyone know what that was?

The stewards were a little ''boisterous'' with the first fans they caught running on the pitch. Fair play to the ''first wave'' who got on the pitch, by their endeavours the rest finally got on - as it bl00dy should be.

I didn''t see anyone injured or being treated, so maybe the poor chap had just been floored by one of the stewards as he was being bundled back towards the stand.

Saw stewards take a few people out, most notably one young lad getting jumped by about 3 stewards. Why? When our end is emptying onto the pitch, hundreds already on it, why pick on individuals.

Not necessarily the definition of every steward, but certainly a majority in certain grounds.
