Pub for London fans going by train to Ipswich?

For those of us who are going straight from work in London, The Station Hotel will be rammed by the time we get there. So we are thinking of either having a beer at Liverpool St or stopping off on route at either Colchester (Bricklayers) or Manningtree (Station Buffet).

Anyone else doing this?
