Baldyboy 1 Posted April 2, 2011 have to say thought he was outstanding today, for me he was man of the match. his distribution appears faultless at times and the way he spreads play is brilliant!! very much an unsung hero of this team
alysha 0 Posted April 2, 2011 he keeps the team ticking over, and dictates the play - doesn''t get all recognition he deserves but if he wasn''t in the side we would miss him!
Boyo 0 Posted April 2, 2011 He has turned out to be one of the best midfielders in the league after a slow start. His distribution is top class and for a slight kind of person he is pretty firm in the tackle. He is the best player we have had in that mould since Safri. Yet another candidate for coming in the top 3 of POTS.
NCFC for life 1993- 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Attended my first match of the season today and wow what a game to be at. I thought Fox was sensational - incredible passer of the ball, always looking for the ball and is definetly one of the players of the season!
YellowLittle1 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Just incredible, player like that can cut it in any division as long as they are given the space to spray the ball.
Weve (no longer) Got Angus 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Is there anything the man can''t do?!
KCASN 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Without a shadow of a doubt...should have been man of the match! Holt took his goals superbly, but Foxy ran the game for us today! Superb...watch out for a late "player of the season" surge from David!
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted April 2, 2011 He''s such an intelligent and quick minded player, he''s sure come on heaps, seems hungry to win the ball, and has a very keen and accurate eye for passing.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted April 2, 2011 A fantastic piece of business from Lambert, he can sure pick a midfielder. Both Crofts and Fox have come from a lower division and even at that level we barely heard anything about them but the pair of them have stepped up to this level superbly. The balance in the midfield area is absolutely perfect and that has to go down to Lambert and his talent for going out into the lower leagues and picking the right players for the right roles. O.T.B.C 1 Posted April 2, 2011 He was my man of the match today, the way he spreads the play across the park is a joy and the speed he does it, is quality.I was one of those who was not too sure about him when he signed, but Lambert must have known that he would be good in this league. grantroederdisaster 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Doing well but apart from Vokes who looked a little rusty to me, the rest of the team all looked very good!
Bill 1,788 Posted April 2, 2011 "He''s such an intelligent and quick minded player, he''s sure come on heaps, seems hungry to win the ball, and has a very keen and accurate eye for passing"couldn''t put it better
CanaryJames 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Wasn''t getting a game for Colchester last year. Says everything about the difference Lambert and Boothroyd that...
Gingerpele 0 Posted April 2, 2011 Brilliant passer of the ball, nearly always makes himself available for the pass. Chases down play as well.Don''t quite know why he hasn''t been playing in the Championship before now.
Morisons Prozac 0 Posted April 2, 2011
Doing well but apart from Vokes who looked a little rusty to me, the rest of the team all looked very good!
I personally thought Vokes looked quite sharp and made a few good touches and held up the ball well, not forhetting the couple of chances he had (although they were offside). Hopefully we can get him from Wolves in the summer as an understudy for Holt. Also thought Fox had an outstanding game today but thought Surman edged MOTM. Definetly a contender for POTS. SnakepitCanary 0 Posted April 3, 2011 I touted him as Player of the Season a few games back. I think he''ll be a surprise late contender. I''m voting for him anyway.
Yobocop 1,441 Posted April 3, 2011 Yeah think I will too.At the start of the season I struggled to think where he was going to fit in with Crofts excelling in the holding role. But Fox has come in and made that position his own and Crofts has benefited from pushing up as well.An all round great scenario as people have said Fox controls the game brilliant, he''s our Xavi if you will
