City 2nd 193 Posted March 9, 2011 Whilst there are many plaudits regarding last nights match please forgive me for starting another thread but having watched NCFC for many years both home and occasionally away, I have to say that last night was the best league performance that I have witnessed in over 45 years as a supporter. Well done City, and well done those supporters who attended, what a magnificent atmosphere you created, which did not go unnoticed by many Leicester supporters and stewards, who openly stated city, and their supporters, were the best side to have visited the ''walkers'' for several years! What a pleasure it was to be there.
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 9, 2011 Sounds very positive. Someone said it was the performance of the season last night. But the only thing that worries/bemuses me slightly about that is, our best performance of the season and in your opinion in 45 years (I can only assume you don''t get to all the games every season?) we ''only'' won 3-2. Not wanting to be negative, and the 2 goals might be extremely flattering for Leicester''s performance, but still, conceding 2 goals, i would have thought automatically reduces the performance level somewhat? (Definatly not saying you can''t play really well and not concede, but...)To be honest with you, for some reason i''m finding it hard to remember ''whole'' team performances from much further than last season, even iconic games such as beating Man.U etc. I can remember great individual performances and goals etc. (Like Fozzy''s best game, i will never forget that :D)
Heraldo 0 Posted March 9, 2011 We only won 3-2 rather like when we beat sheffield United 4-2. The scores do not reflect the game. I was at Leicester last night and we had won 4 or 5-2 that would have been a fairer reflection. I was also at Old Trafford in the late 60''s when we won in the FA cup and it was as good as that. canaryfan68 0 Posted March 9, 2011 I think the score is one reflection of the performance but also look at who was in the Leicester team. Sven has compiled a team of big names in their attempt to get up into the Prem.I also feel we settled for 3-1 but they got a very late goal to give it a false look to the gaame.Having had a team of loanees it nice to see the team spirit that has developed by having our own team again. Perhaps Leicester should look into it!!
