Everyone I know sings ''Kick it off''...[/quote]Kick off is the official version, it is also officially scrimmage not scrummage.I''m glad we only sing the chorus instead of the whole song though, we would have some very differing versions then. [:P]On the days to call, which we have left behind,Our boyhood’s glorious game,And our youthful vigour has declinedWith its mirth and its lonesome end;You will think of the time, the happy time,Its memories fond recallWhen in the bloom of your youthful primeWe’ve kept upon the ballKick off, throw it in, have a little scrimmage,Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;On the ball, City, never mind the danger,Steady on, now’s your chance,Hurrah! We’ve scored a goal.Let all tonight then drink with meTo the football game we love,And wish it may successful beAs other games of old,And in one grand united toastJoin player, game and songAnd fondly pledge your pride and toastSuccess to the City club.Kick off, throw it in, have a little scrimmage,Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;On the ball, City, never mind the danger,Steady on, now’s your chance,Hurrah! Coelho 0 Posted March 14, 2011 Oh my god, what a buzz that was! Seriously, even doing a parachute jump didn''t come close to the adrenaline rush of starting the OTBC chant. And what a performance... and then having photos taken with Holty afterwards... just awesome. Spent about an hour chatting with Mark Barham before the match, which was a great insight into the mind of a professional footballer - thoroughly decent bloke, had a good few stories to tell about players'' antics... Gingerpele 0 Posted March 15, 2011 What does ''I wish the club would f*ck this off.'' actually mean?I assume you mean, i wish the club would get rid/stop this. Most people enjoy it, and its a way of getting as many people as possible to join in with a chant.
