City 2nd 191 Posted March 18, 2011 How typical of Macanthony and Fry at Peterborough to change the goalposts and then state in the National Media that they don''t want to hold the player (CMS) back..... blah blah blah. They received a very good offer from NCFC, better than they received from HULL and READING, neither of whom increased their initial bids, and why not, because this player is untested at the higher level and they would not gamble. City were prepared to and offered add ons if he proved his worth......just as it should be.......and then we have the players agent demanding that Peterborough ALLOW him to join NCFC.......and he knows the true value of the move and just how much it means to the player.......shame on you Peterborough, and I really hope that you all finish up with egg on your faces and you get what you deserve for him come the summer or 2012 when you attempt to cash in.....BUGGER ALL...... ! Syteanric 1 Posted March 18, 2011 i dont think CMS will cut it in the premier league and see it as no great loss to us anyway.Danny Graham on the other hand.....
judderman 0 Posted March 18, 2011 Calm down mate, it''s their right to move the goalposts if they want to, and as for the players agent knowing the true value of a move to the player....no, he just wants a pay packet. And they may say they won''t hold him back, but that doesn''t mean they have to see to the first bid.It would be a silly time for Peterborough to accept anything less than a very over inflated bid because it''s a crucial time of season. Yes he may be worth half that in the summer, but he may have fired them to promotion by then
HIT 0 Posted March 18, 2011 I still believe we already have him, he will be in a Norwich shirt come Thursday next week. Fry doesnt want his fans on his back for letting one of there best players seen to be walking away from the club with ease.PS we will win the league FACT
Jacko 0 Posted March 18, 2011 You can''t just expect Peterborough to happily sell one of their best players because it could be a good move for the player and Norwich. He is under contract to them and they are well within their rights to attempt to get whatever price they like for him. Whether they will actually receive that offer is another matter. pete 318 Posted March 18, 2011 Just a couple of wide boys, Macanthony sells timeshare and Barry Fry well we all know how he does business, not surprised by their underhand tactics, don''t blame them however for trying to keep CMS, just hope they don''t get 2nd in Div 1 and miss out in playoffs and there is an exodus. George Boyd should have moved years ago so Borough get their 20/40? % age. Stevie Morison should also move for the same reason.Come on you Saints please me for a change. Chunky Norwich 0 Posted March 18, 2011 All they''ve done is alert the national media that they rejected a £2.5m bid for their League One striker meaning he''s now peed off and we''ve not risen to the bait. We''ve been fine without M-S up to now and will continue to do so. The player in question now just wants to leave that club as they didn''t keep it under wraps.Although Mr Dublin is hardly blameless in that....

Dion was clearly fed this information as fact from either NC or PU he would not have just made it up especially as it prooved they were talking.

Bill 1,788 Posted March 18, 2011 " Calm down mate, it''s their right to move the goalposts if they want to "Absolute rubbish, just at it would not be ''their right'' for City to agree to charge you £30 to get into Carrow Road then as you get into the turnstiles they decide to ''move the goalposts''."It would be a silly time for Peterborough to accept anything less than a very over inflated bid because it''s a crucial time of season"Then why did they accept City''s bid in the first place ? They come across as what they are. A couple of cheap chancers who have found themselves way out of their depth.

Dibs 0 Posted March 18, 2011 I belive that the Chairman and Fry are burning Peterborough F.C. bridges as they will require more help from us than we require from them in the transfer market in the future.
Norfolk Mustard 94 Posted March 18, 2011
Fry and MacAnthony = Del Boy and Rodney
What was that line from Del Boy on Only Fools & Horses whilst selling on a street corner from a suitcase? "One for the price of two Rodney; One for the price of two!"...That resonates rather well with Mac Anthony & Fry''s negotiation techniques regarding CMS - they really do want to sell us a player for twice his usual worth! Players aren''t, the price is bargained. So it''s not the best conduct in the world, but it''s still a right to say "sorry, we''ve had to reconsider, we''re going to ask for a bit more instead." Why? because his contract belongs to them,.And they didn''t accept our first bid, they rejected it (that''s why we''re having this whole debate!)
