Jarrolder 0 Posted March 19, 2011 Some years ago when Spurs were trying to buy Kevin Drinkell the agreed price was upped (twice I believe) by the then chairman -one Robert Chase, until Spurs got fed up and pulled out. Ring any bells?
Cantiaci Canary 557 Posted March 19, 2011 You can''t blame posh for demanding as much as they are and doing everything possible to cash in. As I said in another post I predict that they will call on Thursday with a compromise deal. Whether we take it or not will depend on how fair the offer is. Bill 1,788 Posted March 19, 2011 "You can''t blame posh for demanding as much as they are"I don''t think anybody iswhat is giving cause for concern is the suggestion that they were going back on an agreementunfortunately this appears to have not blown up in their face and exposed previous posts on the forum about P''boro'' having us over a barrel, us in a weak spot etc as a load of old twaddleas you say there is good reason for believing that P''boro may well come back to the table, the reasons that caused them to wan/needt to sell CMS haven''t gone away - and at the moment we appear to be the only optionball VERY much in our court it would seem
