Certainly d)

a), b) and c) have nothing to do with football going global.

 

Sky was the catalyst for the higher quality of English football, which eventually led to it becoming a global product. Most people in the world don''t watch the Premier League on Sky or Fox as it is in most places. The Bosman had absolutely no effect on the global spread of the game and neither did the removal of the wages cap.

 

Football is global  as it is the national sport of England, which was spread around during the height of the British Empire and many Brits moving all over the world for work and religion (missionaries). To consider things that have only happened recently is pretty shortsighted, the first World Cup was in 1930, and in 1900 football was introduced to the Olympics for the first time

Depends what you define global as, which I''m sure you are aware of.  Being that you have left it in such simplistic terms, Bethnal is spot on, D is the answer, and as he explained it happened when the upper class first constructed the offical rules and the game was taken across the globe by the Empire.

If you mean globalization then that is a different question. On a side note, if you want to get more answers from people for your studies it would probably help if you interact with those who answer, or post more often on the forum - finallly, please keep it to one thread. [:)]
