Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted February 23, 2011 It was a game that we were expected to win with all fine talk about beffing up the GD. Going into this fixture i was worried as most sides that have just had 2 good hidings follow up with a reaction. Doncaster put in the effort, didnt threaten much and we had enough good chances to have won this game comfortably. The only real difference was the result a draw not a win. Our performances for most of this season has been of tight games home and away with us rarely keeping a clean sheet and winning by the odd goal often late on. Yes the result was disappointing, but we are still top 6 and ironically the gap between us and Leicester in 7th improved by a point. Only the most optimistic were expecting a top 2 finish this season. To be where we are is fantastic, a reality check is healthy and dont go creating false pressure on the management and team by ripping the team and tactics to shreds just because we drwe a game. It is not thant many seasona ago that we would have gone away content with a home point. The other results showed what always happens twists and turns along the way, teams dropping points against less fancied opposition. we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season and it is far more enjoyable than being there or thereabout s the bottom 3. Lets not have short memories and enjoy our success whilst it is there not moan about it
