Who was Warming Keeper up at half time

Recommended Posts

The old Keeper coach left, and now we have this Guy who used to play for Charlton. He only seemed to train Steer on his kicking, I didnt see him doing any catching practice etc

[quote user="Canary Wanderer"]Was this a new way to put Money into the coffers ?

The chap didn''t seem too clever to me and couldn''t get the ball off the ground.

Any ideas anyone ?

I posted a thread back on 13th the day after the Reading game saying that the goalkeeping coach Lawrence Batty had left the Club. The guy at the Reading game and again last night is Jeff Wood ex Charlton and Colchester.

Yeah I noticed him at Leeds away, I presumed the usual coach was ill, shame he left as I noticed this new guy couldn''t get any power behind the ball compared to how much Ruddy and Steer were when testing each other

Funny how football has changed - I remember when the keeper stayed in the dressing room at half time with the other players for the team talk & there weren''t any sub keepers.

Mind you we also had a proper reserve team playing regular football & managed by someone who would go on to be a good candidate for the first team managers job.

When will we get a GK coach who stays around longer than flatulence?

Must be a bit unsettling for Ruddy and the you younger ones, although you can''t tell by Ruddy''s form - has been exceptional of late.
