Jonzey 0 Posted January 23, 2005 I learnt the lesson not to leave a football ground early about 11 or 12 years ago when I used to have a season ticket in the family enclsure with my dad. We beat Crystal Palace 4-2 that day, I clearly remember us walking away from the ground to beat the traffic 5 minutes before the final whistle when the roar went up. I found out on Match of the Day that night Lee Power (Lee...Lee....Lee POWER!!!!) had scored an amazing goal for the 4th. I felt sick and swore never again to leave a ground early, even if we were getting stuffed 4-1!!!!!and I never have, I''d rather stay the full game then get a pint afterwards to wait for the traffic to ease. never understood this panic to jump straight into a car immediately after a game?!
