Rupethebear 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Just picked up the tickey application form today and noticed the tickets in Area E are £38.50. This is a complete rip off, why are these so much? Are these the most expensive seats in the Championship?Anybody know where Area E is in relation to the rest of the away end as we have tickets in E as well as V1/V2 and the family area below. Gingerpele 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Because they know people will want to go? And will sell out, so they can charge a bit more...I believe some away fans have complained about our prices...

e10_yellow 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Checked the scum website and we appear to have half of block E which is in the upper tier adjacent to the blocks we already have. Can only assume the price hike is because they''re central seats. Obscene price though,Didn''t get a form today, what''s the deadline for applications to be in? Rupethebear 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Thanks for the update, we have until 2nd April to get the applications in.......just think the price is a joke, we should have told them we didn''t want the tickets at that price......they can''t sell them to their own fans! Harry 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Don''t want to pay £38.50 don''t go then, the Celtic v Rangers cup game was £40 with no concessions and they still got 57,847 through the gate.
Rupethebear 0 Posted March 6, 2011 ......what a silly comment, thats like saying we are the biggest club in England, for comaparison that''s like Man U v Liverpool. This is the Championship, its the principal of it, they want us to help pay Bullard''s wages! ca 1 Posted March 6, 2011 For those who are querying the different ticket prices its £33 for the majority of the seats V1/V2 ( 1300 seats ) £38.50 for Block E ( central seats - 500) and £28 for the lower tier family seats ( 500 )I do agree £38.50 is a rip off, we charged them £33, maybe we should have done the same ? Gerry Harrison 2 Posted March 6, 2011
I do agree £38.50 is a rip off, we charged them £33, maybe we should have done the same ?
Maybe Hull City should charge us the £31 we charged them for tickets instead the £23 they are charging us? Yes Ipswich are ripping us off, but NCFC are just as guilty of overcharging away fans.
crowey66 0 Posted March 6, 2011 just posted this on 606,disgusting price.I wouldnt mind if it was in a decent stand but the Cobbold stand is awful. They should hang their heads in shame for this.
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted March 6, 2011 I dont blame Ipswich at all for this . This is the one game of their season that they know they will sell out their ground, and with it not being on sky , they know people will pay. If your not someone who wants to pay this amount , there will be hundreds of people behind you who will..........especially if there is anything riding on the game! grantroederdisaster 0 Posted March 6, 2011 Yes its a rip off but they know they''ll sell the tickets for this game! The large admission prices at Portakabin Road are a reason why they get 6000 less than us on average!I hope that Mcna(st)lly looks at the S cum and realise that over the top casual ticket prices you can get away with in a good season but not if the team are struggling! 0 0 Posted March 6, 2011 Charge what they want because english football fans will pay almost any price for big games.I admire the germans. Dortmund vs Schalke. Fans not happy at the prices. Refused to pay, empty away end and they wont be trying that again.Unfortunatly english fans are selfish and dont see the long term. Not a chance I will pay £38 for a ticket. Rupethebear 0 Posted March 6, 2011 Perhaps we get a match day programme and a cup of tea at half time included in our package!! However they are offering free escort service before and after the game!!I have written to ITFC and asked them why their prices are so high. Like others have commented, it''s hardly like The Jarrold Stand, we spoil away fans, the one at Portmand Road is years old and you don''t even get free cushions.......however I must say 3 points at Portman Road is priceless!!! Bradwell Yellow 0 Posted March 6, 2011 It''s because us students are seen as the scroungers! When infact a lot of us pay our taxes like the rest.Shocking prices though, yes we are as guilty but they''ve chucked another £5.50 on top. Something has to pay Bullard''s wages i suppose. Lewie - Holt Our Saviour 0 Posted March 7, 2011 When do they stop taking applications? Does my chance of getting a ticket depend on how close to the deadline I give my application in?What''s the different between Area E and Area V1/V2?Thanks!
e10_yellow 0 Posted March 7, 2011 Applications open until April 2nd, doesn''t make a difference when you give in the form. Area E is the block next to V1/V2, closer to the halfway line hence the ''premium'' price for central seats.

e10_yellow 0 Posted March 7, 2011 Applying for more than 1 ticket shouldn''t make a difference - just make sure that none of the customer numbers are in a lower priority group than you, for example if you had four people on your form, three group 3 and one group 4, the whole application would be treated as group 4.Don''t know about your other question.
