Norwich or die tryin! 0 Posted February 2, 2011 "Dunno why but really started hate them past couple of years. They seem so jammy. They seem to constantly score in the last minute and also you know when they are losing a game they will win. And they score some really jammy goals like that one against us when Kasper was floored. And Paul ''gorm'' Lambert is proper odious. They just frustrate the helll out of me, they are too resilent for their own good"Think were starting to get under their skin a bit [Y]
Herman 11,135 Posted February 2, 2011 Reasonably fair points[:D] Although i wouldn''t have thought Lambert was odious. He''s not Colin!!

Norwich or die tryin! 0 Posted February 2, 2011 Few more quotes....."Also about Norwich, they aren''t just lucky. They make their luck don''t they, like us against Boro on NYD. We fluked a point, but in reality, our pushing and pressure eventually forced that chance.I can see them getting us back for Beckford last year as well. Grant Holt on 93 minutes""Same, I feel embarrassed despising them because, end of the day, they are Norwich, but I find myself hating the fuckers. I can''t quite put my finger on why either, although the footballing gods seem to shine on them. Their form during Lambert''s tenure has been freakish and almost impossible""I think Norwich are an inspiration and are sadly doing what Leeds Utd have failed to do, ie they are going for it.We both get promoted from League One, they set their stall out to get promoted and go up to the Premier League and make some canny signings. They fight to the death and win many late points. Lambert plays his formula and gets the players in to suit their style of play (very successfully)Meanwhile despite us having more resources, bigger crowds, paying higher ticket prices, more Television Revenue (again) we seem happy to muddle along and make up the numbers in this division. I wish we displayed their ambition. It''s embarressing just how low we have set our sights. ""They haven''t had one bad spell since Lambert arrived, that''s unheard of. ""Norwich and QPR going up automatically I reckon. Norwich have never lost 2 in a row under Lambert, that is consistency and that is what gets you out of this league. ""pretty logical explanation for it, they are a class team with a class manager.. if i had to put money on who finishes in the top2 this season i would go for qpr then norwich"

Boyo 0 Posted February 2, 2011 One late goal is jammy, as is two and three but, nine in a season is definitely not! It shows that we CONSISTENTLY fight to the end and never say die. It also shows that we are a positive team and a fit one. Nothing jammy about it at all!

Smudger 0 Posted February 3, 2011 The vast majority of Leeds fans are utter dickheads. I hope that we take 4,000+ up there in a couple of weeks, give their fans as good as we get and spank them 4-
chicken 0 Posted February 3, 2011 Hah, they don''t get regular gates that much higher than us, at least they didn''t last season.I also get fed up with all this big club rubbish. I think its all to do with proportion and how a club is run.I have said it before, Leeds has the best part of 1million population, Norwich has around 200k depending on which source you refer to. Their gates in comparison are quite shocking. Its also shocking to think that every home game we get the equivelent of over 10% of our fine City''s population in the ground without fail.Yeah, yeah I understand that people travel far and wide to watch Norwich play but to bang on about only slightly bigger crowds is rubbish.Leeds have Gradel, Bechio and Snodgrass - other than that I am not sure any of their other players are that great. Webbo118 0 Posted February 3, 2011 Leeds are insignificant and the opinions of their supporters are of no interest to me whatsoever

It is the metropolitan district of West Yorkshire that has a population of just over one million people, with them living within half an hours drive of Leeds City Centre. I assume that this is in clear traffic though, as it sometimes used to take me about half an hour to get in to the City Centre from Bramley. You have other league teams within that area too, where as we have one million people in Norfolk and North Suffolk to pull from with little competition. We would struggle to fill a ground their size also, unless we were in the Premiership. chicken 0 Posted February 3, 2011 500k - that can''t be right. Leeds is classed as being much bigger than Norwich in terms of population. I was thinking it was more like 800k.Let me have a little look . . . . . . . Ah it would seem that you are sort of right Smudger old mucker. Although strangely the subdivision is still clased as part of Leeds.A head to head would look more like this(2001 census):Leeds;City - 443,247District - 715,402West Yorkshire - 1,499,465Norwich;City - 132,000Urban - 259,100 Metro - 376,500 (Travel to Work Area) Norfolk - 850,800So in fairness I think my concept was perhaps a little more accurate if you take into account the immediate area.Sure we can draw upon people in North Suffolk and surrounding counties but as I have said before, this only highlights the commitment of our supporters not that we nessisarily draw on as big a catchment as Leeds. Proportionally, according to population we are better than Leeds in terms of support. The closest team to Leeds is what Bradford?I still think that they are a bit silly to start waving the more supporters card when they don''t have that many more considering the size of Leeds. merson_dim 0 Posted February 4, 2011 Late goals arent jammy. How is scoring a goal in the 93rd minute jammy but in the 23rd minute just normal.
Bovril 264 Posted February 4, 2011 I agree, late goals aren''t ''jammy''....it''s due to mainly mental concentration and to a lesser extent physical fitness..The timing of a goal isn''t ''jammy'', it''s the type of goal (off someone''s backside) that could make it jammy.Regarding the population to drawer from argument, quite frankly rubbish....you could argue till the cows go home reasons for either side (they have a bigger population, but not everyone likes football and they have other clubs around....we have a smaller population but the only club around and realistically not alot of other ''attractions'' in norfolk)Therefore a ''big'' club for me is based purely on tradition or current success..I don''t like Leeds and they seem to be the ''hated'' team in the country atm but anyone who says there not a big club is quite frankly wrong. Most genuine Leeds fans will admit they deserve to be where they are and aren''t deluded like other clubs thinking they have a right to be in the premiership. No club has a right, you have to earn it.
