Baldyboy 1 Posted February 12, 2011 have to say that thought he was back to his best today, maybe the decision to drop him worked well!!! keep it up now!!!
Gingerpele 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Nice to hear he played well. And he must have done if you said he did :P
Baldyboy 1 Posted February 12, 2011 gingerpele, i do criticise him but thats because he is so frustrating as hes as talented as anyone on his day!! Glad to say he showed that today!!
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted February 12, 2011 Couldn''t agree more and is it me or has he added a little bit of extra pace to game?
Baldyboy 1 Posted February 12, 2011 did seem quick and was denied a stonewall penalty!!!
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted February 12, 2011 If you mean the one in the first half when he got the wrong side of the defender (or right side from his point of view) That was not a penalty and he was lucky not to get booked. in honesty the Reading one at the start of the second half was a better shout. I had a good view of both as I sit upper N&P in line with both incidents
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Chris Martin was having a go at goal from the start and for a striker short of goals he deserves credit for showing self-belief and not hiding.
Robert N. LiM 6,274 Posted February 12, 2011 True dat, Rude Old. I''m a Martin fan but still don''t think he''s anywhere near his best. But it was good to see him shooting despite his recent goal drought.Still clearly our best option up front with Holt.
GJP 79 Posted February 12, 2011 Yup, I thought Chrissy had a pretty good game today. Infact for the most part I think he had a better game than Grant Holt but probably was starting to fade/run out of ideas when he got took off.
Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted February 12, 2011 as usual his first touch and link up play was possibly only bettered by Wes.He desperately wants and needs a goal though. That will get him back to scoring and the whiners off his back.Quality player.
I am a Banana 0 Posted February 13, 2011 he needs just 1 goal and he will be back to his best. I almost wanted us to get a pen and give it to him to score!! [:)]
Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted February 13, 2011 Yeh we had a Martin range free kick at about the 75 - 85 min.Really was thinking, wish Martin was still on for this one !
Evil Monkey 52 Posted February 13, 2011 He''s the kind of player with whom you think that once that elusive goal goes in the floodgates will open up...
