Captain Controversy 0 Posted January 27, 2011 I know its been said the ground is hard to get to, and that the ''Crystal Palace'' station isn''t actually near the ground... does anyone know the nearest station please?
Standard 0 Posted January 27, 2011 Selhurst I believe, at least that''s where my train is going, much cheaper than the tubehttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=crystal+palace+fc&daddr=Selhurst+Road,+London+SE25+5QB+(Selhurst+Railway+Station)&hl=en&geocode=FalGEAMd-7H-_yGOZandySQVpw%3BFdIsEAMddqj-_yFaCkhNu1C6QQ&mra=ls&sll=53.396432,-0.087891&sspn=5.490487,21.555176&ie=UTF8&ll=51.394922,-0.084844&spn=0.011889,0.0421&z=
Tim Allman 1 Posted January 27, 2011 Thornton Heath station is around 10/15 minutes walk away.
......and Smith must score. 1,341 Posted January 27, 2011 There isn''t a Tube station near Selhurst Park. The two nearest BR stations are Thornton Heath and Selhurst. The main London terminus for both is Victoria station where they run every 15 mins but they also run from London Bridge where it''s every half hour I thinkThe train journey is about 15 mins for both then it''s about the same to walk to the ground
The ghost of Michael Theoklitos 0 Posted January 27, 2011 No tube station. All overground.Selhurst Park is pretty much the same distance from either Norwood Junction, or Thornton Heath stations. The one to go to depends on where you''re coming from. Norwood Junction trains depart London Bridge, Thornton Heath trains depart London Victoria. If you''re coming from Norwich via Liverpool Street, then the London Bridge / Norwood Junction option is probably your best bet.Enjoy the day, if you can ever enjoy going to that sh**hole of a ground. spencer 1970 207 Posted January 27, 2011 close and quickest combined/that''ll be norwood jnct overground = 13 mins fast from London bridge.don''t believe the tfl website...its was designed by people who obviously have never been on public transport in London. thornton heath is only better if you are coming from Victoria (or west) or if you fancy a walk on the wild side. (the pubs are better in norwood too) booo to you capital canaries! baaad choice of pub! booo

ba8ncfc 0 Posted January 28, 2011 Walking distances:Norwood Junction - 14minsSelhurst train station - 16minsThornton Heath - 24minsTake from that what you will. Personally I''ll be going from Victoria - Selhurst, but it does depend where you''re travelling from.
