He was almost in an identical situation, wanted more transfer funds, fans at the time saw it as a sideways step, didn''t believe it was the right move and could wait for a bigger club

Hes had a good first half of the season with Watford and is doing well, but that doesn''t make him an outstanding manager. Eddie Howe is doing a good job, but never worked at a higher level so again not an outstanding candidate.
