kdncfc 27 Posted January 8, 2011 How did that little squirt Jimmy Smith beat our big strapping defenders to head the winner? Were they dozing or was it just exceptionally good movement by Smith? Couldn''t really see cos I was the other end of the ground.
paul moy 235 Posted January 8, 2011 Perhaps they had been instructed to let little Orient win. [;)]
Norfolk Mustard 94 Posted January 8, 2011 He was generously allocated a free header I''m afraid...
Boyo 0 Posted January 8, 2011 I was at the other end too but I saw it on one of the tv''s at halftime and after that player beat K.Smith really easily Jimmy Smith pulled away and whoever was marking him (I think it was Barnett) didn''t react quick enough and Jimmy Smith had a free header. It was a good goal and the movement was good but Barnett could have done better in trying to stop it.
Hairy Canary 696 Posted January 8, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks that we don''t conceed that sort of goal when Nelson is playing?
Guest Posted January 8, 2011
Am I the only one who thinks that we don''t conceed that sort of goal when Nelson is playing?
Barnett''s obviously a quality defender, and a better footballer than Nelson, but I think he is prone to lapses of concentration. He''s still young and will improve I''m sure, but it speaks volumes that our only clean sheet in 12 (I think) games was against league leaders and free-scoring QPR with Nelson and Whitbread in the middle...
