Norwich vs Cardiff.... official unofficial match thread!!!

Recommended Posts

For us people that can''t make it to the game (Being too poor to afford a train ticket from Canterbury :P)

I''m going for 3-2 i think (i said 2-1 originally....but have changed my mind...) Holt to score twice, Hoolahan to add the third, with Bellamy scoring both for them :P

When will we get the starting line up? (checked Offy site, and twitter already...)

When those 4 have been selected in the past it has been a diamond with Hoolahan on the left - Derby A and Pompey H.

No McNamee on the bench, he''s a useful impact player so perhaps an injury, seems needless having Tierney & Lappin or Korey & Lappin.

Got a feeling about 3-2 too ... although would settle for a scrappy, undeserved last minute 1-0 Norwich win [:)]

Cracking game. If we can keep the energy up, we''ll win.Lansbury looks rusty - not on same wavelength as rest of team. Improving though.

Agree Ron.A few sloppy/slow passes from him,but that maybe to be expected.Hooly is on form.Hopefully he can get one in.

Not impressed with Barnett as he backed away a couple of times with one occasion resulting in Cardiff''s goal and another allowing Bellamy almost to score but for a good save from Ruddy. I would have started with Nelson who gets the last-ditch tackles and blocks in when it matters.

Also, far too many passes going astray in vital areas from midfield.

1 on 1 with Bellamy the last thing you do is meet him if he is in control of the ball at his feet with space in behind you. Barnett seems to be doing a good job with Russell Martin so far up field. Not many centre backs would have coped as well as he has.

Ron, I agree he looks a little off the pace, however, I''ve noticed a couple of times that Lansbury has slipped  good passes through but Holt and Martin were a little too flat-footed and the Cardiff defenders got rid of the ball. I believe this will prove to be a key factor we need to address if we are to achieve the highest level of success this season and beyond. Those key strikers have to be able to anticipate when an opening presents itself. Let''s see what the second half brings.

If he''s in the area you''ve got to go to him if he''s about to shoot. That''s where Nelson is stronger IMO.

You know the piddling about is called keeping the ball :P

I''m not watching it, but i think, like AJ just said, this will end 1-0 to Cardiff :(
