Gingerpele 0 Posted January 15, 2011 For us people that can''t make it to the game (Being too poor to afford a train ticket from Canterbury :P)I''m going for 3-2 i think (i said 2-1 originally....but have changed my mind...) Holt to score twice, Hoolahan to add the third, with Bellamy scoring both for them :PWhen will we get the starting line up? (checked Offy site, and twitter already...) shefcanary 2,952 Posted January 15, 2011 Ruddy, R Martin, Drury, Whitbread, Crofts, Holt (c), Lansbury, Hoolahan, Fox, C Martin, Barnett.
shefcanary 2,952 Posted January 15, 2011 Steer, Nelson, Jackson, K Smith, Lappin, Wilbraham, Tierney.
Gingerpele 0 Posted January 15, 2011 I like that team :DOnly change that i would have liked, would be K.Smith in for Fox.....
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 15, 2011 I''m assuming Hoolahan is on the left of either a diamond with Lansbury at the top or a flat 4 with Lansbury on the right.
Gingerpele 0 Posted January 15, 2011 I would guess a flat 4....
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 15, 2011 When those 4 have been selected in the past it has been a diamond with Hoolahan on the left - Derby A and Pompey H.No McNamee on the bench, he''s a useful impact player so perhaps an injury, seems needless having Tierney & Lappin or Korey & Lappin. Henry 0 Posted January 15, 2011 Got a feeling about 3-2 too ... although would settle for a scrappy, undeserved last minute 1-0 Norwich win [:)]
PurpleCanary 6,384 Posted January 15, 2011 No Bothroyd for Cardiff. Not even on the bench.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 15, 2011 Bothroyd has been injured for a little while now I believe.

ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 15, 2011 Cracking game. If we can keep the energy up, we''ll win.Lansbury looks rusty - not on same wavelength as rest of team. Improving though.
Herman 11,136 Posted January 15, 2011 Agree Ron.A few sloppy/slow passes from him,but that maybe to be expected.Hooly is on form.Hopefully he can get one in.
paul moy 235 Posted January 15, 2011 Not impressed with Barnett as he backed away a couple of times with one occasion resulting in Cardiff''s goal and another allowing Bellamy almost to score but for a good save from Ruddy. I would have started with Nelson who gets the last-ditch tackles and blocks in when it matters. Also, far too many passes going astray in vital areas from midfield. Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 15, 2011 1 on 1 with Bellamy the last thing you do is meet him if he is in control of the ball at his feet with space in behind you. Barnett seems to be doing a good job with Russell Martin so far up field. Not many centre backs would have coped as well as he has.
YankeeCanary 0 Posted January 15, 2011 Ron, I agree he looks a little off the pace, however, I''ve noticed a couple of times that Lansbury has slipped good passes through but Holt and Martin were a little too flat-footed and the Cardiff defenders got rid of the ball. I believe this will prove to be a key factor we need to address if we are to achieve the highest level of success this season and beyond. Those key strikers have to be able to anticipate when an opening presents itself. Let''s see what the second half brings.

Gingerpele 0 Posted January 15, 2011 You know the piddling about is called keeping the ball :PI''m not watching it, but i think, like AJ just said, this will end 1-0 to Cardiff :(
