Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted December 18, 2010 When we played Aston Villa at Carrow Road, in either the late 80s or early 90s. I have no idea what the result was or who played that day. All I know was I just couldn''t get warm, despite making short runs along the old Barclay stand terraces (it was a pretty poor attendance that day and so there was plenty of room!).Incidentally, my car''s thermometer indicated a temperature of minus 6C at 9am this morning. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,749 Posted December 18, 2010 FA Cup 3rd round Huddersfield (h) 1986/87. It may have seemed colder than it actually was as I would only have been 12 years old, but this was before the days of undersoil heating and with snow on the pitch the good old orange ball was in use. Frighteningly cold and to compound it , the match ended in a drab 0-0 against a side 1 (or 2?) leagues below us. I remember Drinkell missing a sitter in the last munite that would have put everyone out of their misery, but I think we one the replay 4-1.
