BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 29, 2005 The Guardian today reports quite confidently that Birmingham''s move for Bellamy is far from tied up. It is understood that he would prefer a loan deal to take him through to the summer giving him more options & allowing for a re-assessment of his dispute at Newcastle. Given the little time left in the transfer window what better than a loan move to City. He knows the area and we know him - plus he would have a mission that he could get his heart and teeth into for a few months. If he doesn''t want to be railroaded into a sudden permanent move, then what better alternative than joining a short-term campaign to save City from relegation. This scenario makes a lot of sense. OTBC. P.S. Should I have attached this to an existing thread and, if so, which one?
TheMarshmallowMan 0 Posted January 29, 2005 It sounds like clutching at straws.I''m 99% sure Bellamy will be a Brummie come Monday.
DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted January 29, 2005 I love your optimism bly, I really do. But unless Bellamy has some reason he really really doesn''t want to go to birmingham there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that Newcastle would accept a loan deal. Why would they? £6M is a fair price
Bird Table 0 Posted January 29, 2005 I wouldn''t put it past Bellers to be stubborn enough to stick around at Newcastle and wait for Souness to get sacked.
Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted January 29, 2005 I think the Newcastle Chairman isn''t much of a fan either, and I can''t seem him hanging around so Bellamy will be off, no doubt.
