paul moy 235 Posted November 28, 2010 I never wanted see him dropped as he is vital to the team as well as to my bet of 25/1 E/W at the beginning of the season for the Championship top scorer. [<:o)]

paul moy 235 Posted November 28, 2010
HOW CAN YOU HAVE EACH WAY?? I DONT GET IT??
You get a quarter of the odds if he finishes in to top 3 scorers in the division, so I would get approx. 6/1 for a place.

Mister Chops 7 Posted November 28, 2010 I suppose you could argue that today proved Grant Holt''s only any good against League One opposition...
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted November 28, 2010 I''m sure there will still be some who maintain that we won''t be good enough until he is replaced. I remember a mate of mine, who goes to every single Norwich game every season, maintaining that we''d never get anywhere whilst we had Iwan Roberts in our side. Iwan made him eat his words just like Grant Holt will make his knockers eat theirs. I''m just enjoying having Holt, Martin, Hoolahan and Jackson, four Championship quality players, scoring goals for us and caring about the club. We haven''t had this for quite a few seasons so let''s enjoy it and get behind them, because they all continually earn our support.

I think Holt scored because we now have a class provider in Lansbury. With service like that Holt will be top-scorer in the Div IMO.
Beauseant 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Fair play, I was critical of Holt earlier in the season and will still stand by it. However, in the last few weeks the old Grant Holt has returned and today, apart from the early rush of blood he was immense. Let''s hope he kicks on, but he could retire today and still be a City legend!
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted November 28, 2010 Fair play, I agreed that Grant Holt was below par in many games earlier this season but I always felt he was good enough to play in this league. I just strongly disagree with the view that Grant Holt is not good enough to be the primary striker in a team aiming to reach the Premiership. And today I think he showed that to be a load of old bollox.
Guest Posted November 28, 2010 I''ve whinged about Holt as well this season but have to say he was in a class of his own today.Sorry Grant.[:$]
