Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted November 8, 2010 With the season well underway it is a good time to see how we fit in with past promotion and relehation targets. Picking pointd up at the rate we are would give us 73 at the end of the season. Over the past 10 seasons this would have only been good enough to have got the last play off spot on 3 occassions. looking down at the bottom the margin for success and failure is pretty tight. Normally 50 points is enough to stay up but 3 sides have gone down with 50 or more points in the last 10 seasons Leicester with 52 being the highest and we had 46 when we went down 2 seasons ago. What does all this probably mean then? Despite all the hype and speculation we will probably fall short of the play offs in the absence of a new quality striker. In addition if we hit a bad run in a very close division we could be looking over pour shoulders as we need about another 29 points to be safe which will take a long time in getting Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
