BBC Look East gaffe

Recommended Posts

BBC Look East have just shown Lambert and Keane talking about the games tomorrow. On the screen, behind the reporter, which showed the details of both games, it said Reading v NCFC ko 3pm and Ipswich v Barnsley 5:20pm .... Just another gaffe in the BBC. Who exactly does their research?

One of my favourites that actually happened is when in a meeting at work with a supplier and talking about one of our specialists called Richard retiring in the near future my boss come out with the line:

"I still need to find a new Dick"

I''m not sure I''ve explained it well but I found it funny then and I still find it funny 3 months later.

They are currently having a field day on "Tractor Boys" about this gaffe. Apparently it sums up the fact that there is only "One team in East Anglia," according to that Programme and some anti-Norwich obsessives who regularly contribute to that generally unhappy board..

Nice one "Look East."

This is of course all true, although it can be a bit interesting to occasionally get reports about PR and their strange manager.
