In the same way he was backing them in the summer when -

20 players were turfed out to balance the books

Walters was sold and Keane told he couldn''t have any of the money

Unproven youths were drafted in to pad out the squad

New pitch put on hold due to lack of money

You might see bringing in a couple of loanees as backing - we see it merely as necessary action when needed.

Sure sign of the growing gulf between the two clubs

Easy, you binners can''t field a team expect for untried youth due to your small squad & after three defeats you have had to get in two loanees.... why do you think mad dog has said he''ll be a success even if it''s away from Poorman Rd. He knows the coffers are bare....

Also, Fallon is probably a replacement for wonderboy who played in an arranged reserves match against his soon to be employers Spurs. More cash needed to balance the falling attendances, receipts etc. Remember the faceless arms dealer is a business man not a fan....
