Whalley Signs....

Recommended Posts

Doesn''t mean he is quitting football, just keeping an eye on the future.

It''s little different than if he was studying for coaching badges or something (mobile phone sales expertise?!)
Bloody hell! I thought for one dreadful moment we''d signed Gareth Whalley of Bradford "fame"!
Now that would be a shock.

Sorry if I offended you there Chops. I had no idea you would get so charged up about it.

Even though he was was by far the best...it does make you cringe a bit. I went to the palace friendly in the summer 09 and he was one of our better players...then we all know what happened next.

I see the paper characterises him in their headline as an ''ace''. And that Preston previously paid 0.25 million for him.

Anybody remember if we paid a fee or got him ''free''?

Good Luck to him, its not a bad idea for a sportsman to try and find something else he''s good at after he ends his career - people like Gazza and Ricky Hatton haven''t found it easy.

Also at least he can join a conference (non professional side) and work as well as play football -it may help him to rediscover his appetite for game that he had when he was younger by playing (without needing to make money from it)

He may come back better from it.

So we paid an undisclosed fee.

I wonder how much we paid and then quickly wrote off?

Maybe you could google that for me too since you''ve apparently litttle to do with yourself these days.

Much obliged.
