[/quote]Yep, but theres just as much a case for it being a penalty. Im sure Neil Adams counterpart on Radio Cardiff would have said it was a cert.

On another note, the United/Spurs incident was frankly hilarious. The officials messed it up, but then Gomes seemed to forget the first rule of football - Play to the whistle. Dont think anyone really emerged with any credit.

I read that Clutzenberg the Ref said he allowed play on as they had the advantage (possession).

But with such a clear handball (that the Assistant Ref must have seen), you cannot allow the ''advantage'' to turn into a goal against you irrespective of ''playing to the whistle'' or not.

[/quote]Agreed. Im a big rugby fan, and when an advantage is given, play can be brought back for a free kick/scrum/penalty if the team do not end up with an advantage. Not sure what the exact rules are in football, but common sense would dictate that it should not have stood.
