AndyJR 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Sod off. I find it strange the supporters can''t see their teams play because England are playing on a ...Now let''s make sure...A Tuesday!! Cancel the weekend of Footaball, England are playing on Tuesday. Not sure about you but I can''t sleep for the excitment.I admit the modern footballer couldn''t possibly play 2 games in the space of 5 days....That''s how elite they are.FA - Your an utter joke. Jack Barak 46 Posted October 9, 2010 I agree, International football is largely dull and the international break is really annoying!!!!!It''s not the players'' faults but I think international football should be consolidated into less periods...a break like this should have two / three games in it and imit the other breaks. If this happened the quality might improve as the players have more games time together.
ryan1992 0 Posted October 9, 2010 I agree and I really hate the international break, but, if we did play today, we would have been without Crofts and Jackson, who have been playing great recently. Plus, it also gives people like Smith and Drury time to get 100% fit. Can''t wait to go to Loftus next week though! COYY!!
I am a Banana 0 Posted October 9, 2010 how many norwich and QPR players were called up in total. Only the QPR striker (mackie) and maybe taraabt but i thought you needed more than 3 players called up to have a game called off
SWP = Poor Mans Ruel Fox!! 0 Posted October 9, 2010
how many norwich and QPR players were called up in total. Only the QPR striker (mackie) and maybe taraabt but i thought you needed more than 3 players called up to have a game called off
It did use to be and still is below the Championship. I imagine at some point (dont know when) someone decided all the Championship should be off during international breaks, although I cannot see the point personally. As you say I cannot see it being the case that the majority of Championship teams having at least 3 players called up for international duty.
jed exodous 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Yawn, didn''t we have this thread 3 or 4 weeks ago when it was the last break? Same posters moaning, internationals happen, get over it and go and do something else over the weekend.
Forever Norwich 0 Posted October 9, 2010 I cant stand international football bores me to death and i really cant stand England atm
Bury Yellow 2 Posted October 9, 2010 Apologies for going off topic a bit but I had to sit in the River EndUpper for the England game. Up until the new Barclay Stand was built I had always been there - even when it was an open bank.Notwithstanding the horrendous atmosphere i was totally depressed at the conditions within the stand, No leg room and trying to get out at half time was a potential accident waiting to happen. I have no truck with the Health & Safety Army of the socialists but I wouldn''t pay a fiver to watch a game in those conditions.I think serious planning needs to be made for the long term future of The Carra. What with the pathetic City Stand I really don''t buy into this lovely stadium aurora and i suspect nor does our chairman and chief exec.Simply, The Barclay is a palace in comparison. Lambert is King 0 Posted October 9, 2010
I cant stand international football bores me to death and i really cant stand England atm
Lots of people dont agree however, look at the crowd for an under 21 game last night ( basically premiership reserve teams ). Remember the reasons for our smallish crowd for Watford - Friday night and on telly.

Gingerpele 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Its because its the International week, Fifa probably decide, i''m sure the premiership managers would all be happy if the players didn''t have any internationals...
Boyo 0 Posted October 9, 2010 I can''t see why we can''t have no internationals on weekends and just play them mid week. That way you can play every Saturday of the season and have no international breaks.
jed exodous 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Boyo, imagine you are your countries manager. You get to annouce your squad on Sunday night, they meet up Monday morning, you''ve then got 2 sessions to organise your team for the game. Thats why international teams meet up the monday before the weekend so they can train together, get used to one another, practise set peices, routines, organise, practise formations, watch videos of previous performance/oppositions blah blah blah...Think about it mate, it aint rocket science....
